Im an older guy who's always had naturally curly hair. When I lived in Florida I went with short…read morehair because of the heat. I decided I wanted to grow my hair longer again and my wife said the girls she works with recommend Hair Works and saw Nikki who said she was good with curly hair. I figured it would take a couple of times to get it right as it was growing out, and my hair thinner than it used to be. After seeing her twice @ Hair Works, I was fairly happy with the results. The third time I went to see her I found out that she had gone to Hair Therapy. When I called for an appointment she was booked for a solid week. It was getting long, but all I could do was wait. When Saturday finally came and I went to get my cut, it looked ok when I left, but there was a lot of product in it (which I try not to use much) and by the next day after it dried from my shower it was evident how BAD it was! I had told her not to touch the back but I allowed her to even it up. When I saw it the next day the whole haircut was terrible. The back was way short and the left side much shorter than the right as was the rest of it the same. The whole right side was long and uneven, I looked like a mushroom... I had to wait another week to get it fixed elsewhere and walk around like that at work.. The girl who fixed it was shocked at how bad the job was, but did an awesome job fixing it up. I still need to let it grow out some and have it trimmed, but it's better now. Bottom line, Nikki might be ok with other types of hair, but in my experience with her, not curly.. at all. I won't be going back. Idk about the rest of the place.

They are uneven and chunky. The root she gave me is almost black. There is no money piece and no blended warm blonde. I asked her for a refund and she refused saying that they have a zero refund policy. This is not stated anywhere that I can find. She did offer to correct her mistakes over several sessions and was apologetic. Regrettably I do not feel comfortable having this same stylist do my hair again even to "correct what I don't like about it." My service was $250 plus tip.
