In London there's always new places to go so I try to never go to the same place twice, but I've been to Gallipoli 3 times so it only means that I absolutely love this place. We always get the set dinner which serves a bit of everything on their menu, which I personally like because I love to try/sample everything. For so much to eat, it's a great price that can't compare to other Turkish restaurants. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere is amazing. The plethora of hanging lamps gives out an ethnic, homey aura and even though it's constantly busy, you can sit in there for ages and enjoy the setting. I also like the outdoor seating, where you can see bustling Angel.

Nom nom nom... I am a huge fan of the Trifecta of Gallipoli's Upper Street manifestation, and having to choose one over the other normally involves finding the location with the shortest wait. (Seriously, if I would have known Lebanese and Turkish food was this good, I would NOT have waited 27 years to indulge in the deliciousness.) But this Gallipoli holds a special place in my heart for their outdoor sheesha patio. Sitting on upper street, sipping up strawberry, orange, rose and mint hubbly-bubbly, and watching the world go by is a pretty fantastic way to spend a lazy evening. The Cheshire Cat and I give 5-stars way up.

Not to be confused with the Gallipoli restaurant just up the road, this Bistro is owned by the same people. Slightly confusing. The food, though. We had the baba ganoush, fried aubergine and goats cheese mezze as light bites to share. All excellent. Our pal let us try some of his grilled lamb. Gorgeously smoky, utterly tender. Alas, I didn't have a big enough appetite to do justice to the menu, but if I ever get the chance I will return ravenous. The service is efficient and friendly, and you sit under a ceiling of low-hanging Middle-eastern lamps. A real Turkish delight.

We had a great meze .... a table laden with tasty dishes, too many to recount! A few of the most memorable ... hummus, koftes, borek, dolmades, chickpea and mint salad, broad beans....all lovely and all tasting fresh and different, washed down with an efes or two. We left happy.

Echoing everyone else here on Yelp, get the full meze! Surprised that this place wasn't more packed a so went on a Thursday evening and it was really easy to get a table. Really attentive staff, fast service and we even got a free shot of Bailey's each!

    - visit on a Saturday night for dinner: reservation recommended - small restaurant/bistro, very noisy, crowded, closely spaced: BUT that`s Turkish!! It is very authentic - very friendly staff - first thing we ordered: Turkish Raki (to prepare the stomach for lots of food :-)) - nice dishes (very authentic): sucuk izgara (Turkish sausages) 4.50 GBP; Iskender 11.75 GBP; Kofte 9.95 GBP; all big portions and very tasty! I loved it! - for desert we had Turkish tea 1.50 GBP, Turkish coffee 2.35 GBP and Baklava 4.25 GBP (Turkish delight was offered for free): also very authentic and yummy - price absolutely appropriate for the quality Conclusion: It is a 4.5! I really enjoyed it a lot! Very authentic atmosphere and food!

I had the iced matcha cloud with raspberry syrup. Quality matcha powder used *and* the added fruit sweetener (raspberry here) is subtle but still tasteful actually complementing well with the matcha (unlike fruit sweetener that tastes like straight jam overpowering the whole drink.....). A matcha drink that actually makes sense lol. I also tried the iced Japanese cold brew. Pretty strong in brew taste but still smooth! Polite barista. Low-key, chill vibes at the cafe on a Monday late afternoon. Definitely a nice spot for a pick-me-up drink while venturing London. :)

The one we have had has a delicious and flaky seeded croissant and it has a really nice portion of cream cheese and prosciutto and arugula. It's really savory. I ordered a latte on both visits. The art on it is very nice, but it also tastes as good as it looks! It's smooth and creamy and the perfect temperature to enjoy it right away. The cappuccino my brother ordered also looked pretty good. The staff working here are really friendly and welcoming as well. She was very attentive and asked us if everything was good and if we needed anything else. Unfortunately, we're just visiting the country, but would definitely love to come back to this cafe in the future!

Their servings are HUGE, and are so affordable too! I left wishing my mother and I had the ability to save our leftovers for later, because we hated wasting any of the delicious food that we ordered. Even before we got our food we were pretty excited. When you walk in you're greeted here with a beautiful sight: fresh sandwiches, bread, and pastries, all on display right at their main counter. Once we were seated I noticed little flower pots line the window, too. Fresh food and flowers - what more can you ask from a cafe for a first impression? We also loved the owner and his wife: they were very kind and they constantly kept us up to date on our food order, just to mention what was done and what they still needed to do or cook. They clearly work hard to provide fresh fast meals - and we learned quickly as people came in and out of the place that takeaway is available here. But we wanted to enjoy a sit down meal, and enjoy we did! I started mine with fresh squeezed juice - we're talking so fresh you'll want to add sugar to it if you're used to the juice that comes in stores. And when our English breakfasts came out? Just, wonderful. My mother and I each received SO much food. Both meals came with amazing buttered bread (like, I would have happily eaten an entire plate of bread and only bread), hash browns so fresh that they may as well have given us the original potatoes (yum), and what I can really only describe as a mountain of beans, eggs, and meat (well, on mine anyway - not so much on my mother's vegetarian breakfast order). All of it absolutely delicious, and every single bite made me smile wider and wider. Definitely walk on in if you're near this little shop. Don't be afraid to order one meal and share it if there's only two of you, either - you'll likely both leave well fed, and you can always order a little more food if you want too from that great looking counter of theirs...
