They have prescriptions available but hoard them for patrons that they choose. I'm sure they weren't supposed to let me know this but the young lady accidentally divulged this. I had been warned about this by office staff at a previous doctor's office but since they filled our prescription when we initially came, I thought it was made up. Sadly it was true. Save yourself the trip of trying them out, if you're not a pharmacist favorite, your prescription will stay once u til it expires and they won't even have the consideration to call you and tell you they aren't filling it. they'll make you call every Monday (no joke, they told me to call back every Monday.) to see if it will be filled. I was having problems with my insurance company and CVS (Perkins Rowe) and Lagniappe were the only places that had my medication. Eric and Makaela have gone above and beyond dealing with my insurance company and getting my meds. approved. Meanwhile I had to keep calling CVS, was getting mixed information from different employees, would drive all the way across town bc a pharmacist told me it was ready when it wasn't, waited 4 extra days because they "forgot" to call me and tell me that they didn't even have my medication and that they would have to order it. I drove back and forth across town 4 times to CVS because the pharmacy techs and pharmacists weren't communicating with each other or with me. Trust me it's worth the drive to not have to deal with all that stress every time and it's nice to go to a pharmacy where the employees care.

Medications that I had been paying $200+ dollars/month for, due to my insurance not covering the medication, were suddenly available to me for $15/month because the staff at Lagniappe took the time to research my medications and found drug coupons. They did this completely unsolicited...just because they care about customer satisfaction! My prescriptions are ready on time and I get a text notifying me when it is time to pick them up. When I ran out of refills, the Pharmacy Tech called my Physician on my behalf to get more refills authorized. I have never dealt with such a customer-oriented Pharmacy!!

They also have filled my prescriptions in record times compared to any chain store when I came in early and needed them because I was in pain. I used my insurance company mail in service for many years due to the supposed cost savings, and had forgotten how useful it is at times to be able to ask the pharmacist questions about the drugs I was taking, or about other minor health issues. But after a number of problems with the computer generated refill service, I decided to check out how much it would cost to buy my prescriptions locally at brick and mortar stores. Ralph's cost was equal to or lower than the 4 other pharmacies I checked with, and was within "pennies" of the mail order prices. And no more problems talking to a "computer" trying to get a refill sent when I need it, or cancel a prescription when the doctor changes the drugs I'm taking. I called Messina's and they were able to offer me a flavored medication for my 10 month old. Not it were they able to fill it within minutes, I didn't have to call the doctor or ask the bogus pharmacy anything. They took care of it all. They gave me very detailed instructions and displacing supplies to help mix and give. I was treated like an individual with meds and not a number. They offer a variety of over the counter medications but as limited as one would expect from a small private pharmacy. I'm officially bringing all my business to them.
