Thank you Angela Pena, Heather Rupe, and Steven Applebaum for allowing me to participate in this informative experience. A special shout out to Steve's dog Roy. The event was held via Zoom and participants were able to submit questions ahead of time as well as ask anything they wanted during the event. I have a Jack Russell terror I mean terrier named Sunny and a Chihuahua named Taco. Even though my dogs are elderly Steve assured me you could still teach an old dog new tricks. Steve was able to give me advice on trying to get Sunny to get along with certain family members and we also discussed how he prefers to have my bed to himself. I enjoyed getting to hear about Steve's experience training animals in the entertainment field. I think I spoke to him for close to two hours and I could have picked his brain all night. To that end he even made himself available to me by email after the event. After the event I was even sent a few gifts for my pups who loved the treats and especially the brush. If you have a chance to participate in this event I highly recommend it. I took the orientation class a few months prior, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. The students are also just as friendly, and you get to know them and socialize a lot in class. The campus has that commuter school feel, and half of it is in bungalows. I'd highly recommend NVOC to any student, especially those coming back to school after a long break. They recently brought back the pharmacy technician program, and have a bunch of other trades. I like how it's connected to other schools in the area under LAUSD. So far, it's been a very positive experience, and can't wait to be an official student.

Excellent school that is divided into separate schools...film/tv...dance..music... theater...etc…read more All the instructors are top level and usually still in the field or well respected. Campus is clean with a lot of trees and grass. They have a nice cafeteria with a view. Not sure about the food quality...it's a school cafeteria. Lol They also have a little coffee shop on campus. The vibe on campus is really nice with people always playing music or making installations throughout. This is not open to the public fyi. You must go through security.

They were personable, showed us their dorm rooms and gave us insight. They have a ton of great programs. One of the best things we saw were the fashion department and the animation. The art work on the walls is just outstanding but the downside of the campus is it's far away from LA. I think it was at least 45 min away with traffic overall looks good. Didn't realize Walt Disney owned the campus as well. Nice little nugget
