The unit was plugged in and seemed to work ok, but then on the fourth day the power supply unit shorted out and basically fused the ring main in the house. I genuinely believe that this firm (Computer Centre Welwyn Garden City & Hemel) are on the brink of administration and I didn't fancy taking it back to them for repair, so I opted for a local firm to asses the damage. The main problems that the computer had were a low spec power supply and a cheap and inadequate motherboard. The "more than capable" new firm that I found have managed to rectify all of the faults at an extra cost to myself, but a least we now have a working unit. Lesson No 1.........Computer Centre Welwyn & Computer Centre Hemel Hempsted..............Leave well alone !

i paid to this shop owner mr dave pleece totally 858 £ and it has gone almost five months. first he…read moresaid he has ordered parts but no proof he showed. then he said all other parts working but mother board not working and then said that his supplier is not sending goods. then he said refund will be in one week. gave cheque written by his wife who is also active playing part in fraud by writing cheque and then stopping them . not because of not having money but tell lies to her bank that cheque is lost.still havent got money. taking to the court and waiting for court action. pls do not buy anything from this branch nor any of other branches which lies in north side.

They managed to bugger up my contract 3 times n two days and then fobbed me off saying I should contact their customer service line as it was nothing to do with them! Most frustating bunch of muppets ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with!!

Hes got no clue what he is doing. VERY sloppy and dishonest person. Instead of repairing my power jack (he said its very easy job) he burned the processor and couple other components with soldering gun. He was holding my laptop for 5 months. In the meantime he made many excuses and lied to me several times just to finally admit that he was not honest with me and had no skills, nor equipment to establish what he broke, therefore repair it. He promised to send the laptop to a professional service on his cost and assured me that he did it. When after couple more weeks of waiting I contacted the mentioned service it turned to be just another of his lies. He explained himself that he was broke and had no money to send my laptop elsewhere. Later 2 different repair shops send back the laptop because they were not able to fix what he broke. They described the damages as severe and his job as very sloppy. When after months I finally got my laptop repaired by the original service and presented him the bill he said he will not pay me back the money for what HE damaged. I asked officials to step in. He is not responding anymore. By the way: the only positive reviews are from his wife's account. Do NOT trust this guy.
