It's the large space formerly occupied by Pier 1, and they have transformed this into a spacious and amazing media store! 2nd & Charles is a subsidiary of Books-A-Million, and like its parent store, they sell lots of books! This includes used books, which have been in short supply in this area since Cottonwood Books sadly closed. However, this store has lots more! I saw pretty much every kind of physical media represented, as well as lots of cards and pop culture collectibles. There were magazines, comics, music (including vinyl, movies, and even some musical instruments! The staff were going about asking customers if they needed assistance, and there was a line of people checking out with their newly found books and other items. Everyone seemed to be happy with this new business when I visited. I'm glad to see new businesses coming into Baton Rouge, especially book-related businesses!

I was lucky enough to find a storage box that will work perfectly for my Star Wars Destiny set (wasn't kidding about the nerdiness). They also had an impressive set of Pop vinyl figures. I know the owner will think im making excuses but i brought it in the first time for no hdmi…read morepicture... okay they repaired it.........so say........i get it back to to my house now the bluetooth to my controller doesnt work which it did before Columbus touched it.......i brought it in an they fixed the problem......i come to pick it up an go home an it turns on again from my controller but now i have no hdmi video(first problem) again....called an they said bring it in under warranty...i show up an bring it in today an tell the employee (molly or holly with red curly hair) that its doing the same thing as the first time an i told them I haven't tore it apart sonce columbus touched it.......so she said "well they tested it an said it worked" so i said test it now.........im sure all of this is on camera but she plugged everything up an it didn't work so she had to wiggle it for 1-2 minutes until it did BUT i shouldn't have to wiggle it for it to work but she said "well if it comes on in the store we can't warranty it" so i replied pull it out an plug it again but she stood there looking confused but hey I understand gotta protect your employees an the look of the company right well when i got home it still has no picture as I predicted it......i don't recommend these people an this is why i should have done my own repairs in the first place nor will these people touch any of my electronics equipment again.........
