I went to visit the bar and was impressed by its selective, but adequate spread of options. I ordered a summer spritz and went to go look at the books available. I love how they section off into the different genres while adequately having a good seating area. If you're in the area to explore, this place is it for some good reads and studying. Nice dark but appropriately enhanced environment for some quiet time!

Place has become a hoarders dream. Cat in a cage amongst the hoard. The business smells like cat…read moreurine. If you aren't a thin person you will have a hard time moving around in there. There is no longer rhyme or reason to the shop because there is to much used product. She states she will give you a deal on anything in the place but then say the item you're looking at isn't for sale. Plus price marked is not the price of item. She has hand written signs that states she will name her price. The lady running the place admitted that her house had been bulldozed by temple. then stated about how much stuff she had lost. This used to be one of my favorite places to visit. I am very concerned the city of Temple is going to shut it down once they see the hoard.

I wasn't sure at first if it was a cafe or what? I walked across the street and read the signs and it seemed so welcoming I had to pop in for a few minutes. Wow! I had no idea there was such a nice shop here in the area to buy those unique gifts you sometimes need for the people in your life that seem to have everything! This is all high quality, much of it is handmade locally made (Texas or USA) artisan wares. There's also a large selection of specialty teas and accessories for tea making. Staff was friendly and gave a helpful tutorial, answered any questions, and let you do your thing without hovering. I recommend eating beforehand and bringing water because depending on your price, you could be there for a few hours. Prices are VERY reasonable. Fused glass for four of us cost less than a hundred dollars for smaller pieces. There are many options, big and small, and can be intimidating at first but ended up being great fun. I don't recommend the fused glass for small children because you are handling small pieces of cut glass. You will need to leave your art there for a week so the staff can do the finishing then they will text/call you when it's available for pickup.
