This place I'm convinced does not train their employees on what the prices are, nevermind how to use the cash register. There have been numerous times where I have bought pop, chips, and other snacks that were on sale and the cash register put them through at full price. Not only has this happened numerous times, but the employees are always dumbfounded when I point it out. Nevermind the items on sale are usually advertised at the front right next to the cash register. Then there was the time I bought about $9.00 worth of items. The first time they rang through, the cashier would have put them through as $40 if I had not pointed it out. Then it got reduced to $15 because again they were still dumbfounded at the fact some of those items were advertised as onsale right next to them. Did they apologize profusely? No; rather, one of them had the gall to tell me to calm down after I was clearly becoming frustrated with them for trying to overprice what I was buying. No real apologie, no here's something for free to make up for the fact we almost sold you a $9 purchase for almost $40. Just simply "Alright, mame, calm down." Yeah... I'll calm down and take my business elsewhere.

I really love going into Showtime Video. The owners/workers are very welcoming and the place has a…read morenice feel. I know, it's just a corner store, but nonetheless I have a pleasant time during my regular pop-ins. Showtime has become my movie center of choice. Sure it's no Video Difference which is just around the bend, but for $4 (tax in) you can rent a new or old release. I appreciate not having to spend a full fiver on a DVD, because really once you're over the five dollar mark, it might as well be ten bucks if you ask me. Recently, I was baking banana bread and didn't want to go to the grocery store, so what did I do? I went to Showtime and lo and behold, they had brown sugar and a few other ingredients that I required. Support this family run business and swing by Showtime for a DVD or a candy bar. But make sure your rental is back by 7pm the next day or face the $4 penalty. And for you folks out there who are pornographically inclined, I've heard tell of an adult section... but don't tell your mother.

Gigantic Video delivers this kind of mediocre customer service, there are no pleasantries exchanged during a purchase, which can be nice if you're in a hurry, but frustrating when you're in a chipper mood. The video (or rather DVD) collection is decent, old titles don't stay around very long, especially the more obscure ones. The chips however do stay around for awhile, with dusty bags as evidence. Gigantic Video really only performs well at the convenience part of it's role because there isn't exactly quality promised. Other than a bottle of mix, your favorite tobacco product or some slightly stale snacks, this little convenience store has very little to offer. Hot Hint: They are open late every night, and even later on the weekends, so it's a reliable stop on the way home from downtown.

If the dryer you chose doesn't work, the guy who laughs at everything you say won't believe a single thing you say until you prove to him that the machines are garbage, but even after you prove it he'll laugh some more. And WHEN you complain he'll claim that "you're the only one who complains" before telling you to go elsewhere to do your laundry. Yes, in all the years of that garbage heap being there, I'm the only one who's had issue with their shitty machines - trés believable. *insert eyeroll here* He does nothing except yakk on the phone for most of the time any customers are there and he pretends that he's the owner. Back to the machines: laughing boy will make a show of being willing to insert a few extra coins, when the machines malfunction, which is often, but will then return said coins to the cash register... but like I said, the washers are good. P.S. I took his advice and found a better laundromat... where ALL the machines work, where the $2 to start gives you an hour, and the staff aren't childish or a prick.

It's a great stop for students, tourists, and locals. Many students will sell their old textbooks here and some (I'm not sure about all) professors at Acadia will order their books through him instead of the campus book store because it costs the students less.
