This local chain of sporting goods stores is underrated. I recently came to the Mcknight location…read moreto buy work boots. By the way, this is NOT like a Dick's, so don't compare or expect it to be like that. It is a lot smaller, and they must have a big deal with Under Armour, because they always have everything from them under the sun, from shorts pants shirts hoodies etc. They have a decent footwear section, and a big hunting/ fishing department. Giant selection of athletic apparel as well. Most everything is name brand, and the best part is it's basically all on sale for around 20 dollars less. I got Timberland Pro boots that are $140 everywhere else for 100 dollars. If you mention you are a AAA member, you get a fairly hefty discount, and the guy didn't even ask for a card or credentials. Plenty of employees ready to assist you. I have been here before, but I think I need to start making this place my go-to. I feel good about giving them business because they are the only competitor in Pittsburgh where it is overrun with Dick's, where everything is overpriced. Make it a point to visit here next time you are looking for sporting goods.

Upon completion of set up I just wasn't happy with design/quality of stand. Called store and explained my situation. Talked with manager Mindy who told me bring it back to the store for exchange even though I lost the receipt and they had discontinued my particular tree stand! OUTSTANDING customer service in my opinion! New tree stand mac daddy by Primal is installed and I'm just happy happy. Thanks Dunhams. Thanks Mindy.

Let's start off with what I don't like...umm I can't think of one thing that I don't like but I have a million reasons otherwise. The quality....the clothing is built to last. I've had t-shirts that are at least 5 years old and they look practically new after many washes. No fading at all. I have totes, crossbody bags, socks, keychains, candles...and various other clothing items. No complaints whatsoever. The store is beautiful, rustic, nostalgic and pays homage to the area where the store is situated. I miss the downtown location but the store in the Strip serves us well. If you have yet to visit you're definitely in for a treat!

I had heard this shop moved here into the Terminal, but I was not familiar with the brand. It's a nice little shop with cool decor. It is designed to look retro. They even have an old classic Triumph motorcycle on display. What caught our eye was a shirt displayed on an outside rack with a crying pirate on it that said . . . "Actually There's A Lot of Crying in Baseball," which is very apropos to our local Major League team here in Pittsburgh. The shirt was $36. We bought one for a Father's Day gift. I was surprised to learn that the return policy on shirts is one year . . . ONE YEAR!! That's kinda crazy, but apparently they are supposedly good quality, and made in the U.S.A. In addition to shirts, they also had other clothing too, such as hats, shorts, socks, n'at, and they even had stickers for sale . . . Cheers! P.S. One negative thing was that they don't give out paper receipts. You can have it e-mailed or sent by text. I opted for an e-mail, but it never actually arrived (meh)!!!

This particular location is in the Waterworks shopping center. Compared to the competitor Dick's Sporting Goods, Dunham's Sports has an interior design that does not look as nice. However, I actually preferred this Dunham's Sports over the Dick's Sporting Goods nearby. I shopped throughout this Dunham's but mostly in the women's section. I felt impressed by the selection of women's clothing, and I found many shirts that I liked--for example, a green sweatshirt that was half-off for $15, a short-sleeve t-shirt for $15, a hoodie for $20, and a flannel shirt on clearance for $11. All other departments were also full of quality merchandise. I was familiar with some of their brands (e.g., Under Armour, Levi's, NordicTrack, Wilson, adidas, Nike, Bauer, and Skechers). Areas of improvement for this store: When I was looking at the women's sneakers, an employee walked right by me and did not say hello or offer any assistance. Some prices were low, and other prices were moderately high compared to other retailers.

WAY different vibe than different similar branded stores, in a good way! Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable, and even though they didn't have what I was looking for this trip I will totally be back next time I have something in mind. They had popular brands like Yeti, Vuori, North Face, etc. and when I visited they had clothing items 25% off so I would call before going to ask if a specific item you are looking for may be on sale!

The layout definitely reminded me of a Dick's Sporting Goods store. Everything was pretty pricey, as expected from name-brand outdoor gear, such as The North Face, Columbia, and Patagonia. I learned that you can actually rent all sorts of gear, including tents, sleeping bags, snowboards, bikes and kayaks. They also offer classes/events, mostly focused on rock climbing for now. I do feel that their climbing rates were a bit high for the limited space that they have. Their climbing wall has only 5 vertical routes with a very small bouldering area, and they charge ~$20 for one hour. As an avid indoor rock climber, I would recommend visiting one of Pittsburgh's climbing gyms instead. Their day passes cost ~$20 as well, and you can climb for as long as you like. I see the benefit of having the wall for trying on climbing shoes if you're looking to buy, but not so much for recreational purposes.
