Food was brought by the guy in a container so that it remains hot in till delivery. I ordered balti paneer tikka with pilaf and my wife ordered vegetable thali. Both dishes turned out super good. As we were exhausted burgers, fish and chips, Indian food touched our taste buds to the depth. Quantity of the food is good enough. That gives them 4 star. I am taking away one star - for customer satisfaction reasons. As we were staying in a hotel, I specifically asked the person taking my order to put cutlery and some disposable dishes (if possible). He promised cutlery but to my surprise we found nothing. Our hotel staff was not courteous enough to provide us on so we ended up eating with our hands (I hated it). This shows how UNIMPORTANT my request was for this place. May be things would have been different if we would have dined in. Now the next day.... My wife suggested - we are a tourist at this place, we liked the place we should go for a dinner at the same place rather than trying some other Indian restaurant (there are in total 12 in this small island). We called the restaurant and they courteously guided us towards their address (I didn't have internet on my phone). The owner is from Bangladesh and has good customer care skills, he interacts and inquire for very simple things even before you request them - like an extra glass of water or extra napkin. Attention to detail from the entire crew was the key and hence my perception got altered in a positive direction for this restaurant. I ordered chicken biryani - they serve it with an omelette which is a little different than other Indian places I have dined at. Wife ordered non-veg thali which had chicken curry, lamb and sea food. Everything here was very very good and yummy. We would highly recommend. One of their yellow chutney is super awesome !! Must try. Great place and great people !!!!!!

My cousin had been here the night before and said it was great so I thought why not do it and take her advice. Having thought about popping down and enjoying a night out, we decided on ordering through Just Eat and having it delivered - no probs at all and for 4 people it was £55 with plenty of rice and breads. The standouts were the prawn dopiaza and the chef's special south Indian curry - really pretty melt your face spicy but that really did work a treat! Good stuff, would be happy to go again when next over on the IOM.

First of all the first word that comes to mind is delicious. I ordered a strawberry yogurt shake,…read morewhich was very good. Very watery creamy and delightful. If you don't like yogurt, you may not enjoy it though. It is sweet. Personally I ordered the lamb chops and the chips as a side dish. I enjoyed the lamb chops although they were pretty chewy I didn't enjoy that it got stuck in my teeth a lot and so that's why I'm not gonna give this a five star for my personal experience because it was kind of hard to eat it, but that might be a personal struggle, I enjoyed the chips though. My sister got the chicken tikka. She said she enjoyed it and the sauce was very good. My brother, the vegan, had his face filled with a great big smile when he discovered all of the vegan options. There was a terrific amount of sides and main dishes for vegan and vegetarian guests. He enjoyed the mushroom Bharja. My family also ordered the garlic, naan bread and really enjoyed it. My mother got the chicken tikka with coconut rice. The coconut rice was slightly hard, but still tasted really good. The chicken tikka was delicious with the sauce on the side. It also comes with a little bit of salad. It was a really good dish. My father ordered a pot full of special seasoned rice with prawns and it was so yummy. Overall sounds like everybody had a good experience and was very full after the meal maybe too full. But man, the service was amazing and they were so kind to us very patient friendly and kind to tourists like us. I really enjoyed my experience here and at the Isle of Man and I hope that this review helps somebody it's a decent spot so maybe check it out.

Good wine selections and the cocktails looked interesting also, even though we didn't try any. The restaurant doesn't have fancy decor, but don't let that fool you. The food was delicious and complex. If we were spending more time in Douglas, I'd definitely go back!

Excellent Indian Food in the Isle of Man…read more On our recent trip we stayed in Douglas and came across this place. Skeptical we went in and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent! The food had a mix from different parts of India - which was part of the reason for being skeptical. We ordered the Crab Burji, Chetinaad Chicken, Fried Rice. All of them had perfect flavors in them, did not disappoint at all. Ambiance was nice and quiet inspire of the place being almost full.

My friend and I shared 3starters and three mains so we could get a good view of everything. Among the starters, he aubergine and prawn pickle was great and interesting. Same for the goat cheese starter. While the onion bhaji was different than you typically get it, it wasn't particularly tasty or special. On the mains, an interesting chicken curry made from the chef's local region. It was great, chicken was tender, not spicy but very flavorful. The tandoori pistachio lamb was slightly disappointing, Weile nothing wrong with it the pistachio flavor was pretty much a few kernels thrown on the plate. The highlight, though, was the duck from the chef's special section. Crispy skin and incredible flavor. I'd go back (and will) just for it many times. Service was also quite friendly, earnest and efficient. While there are a few great Indian restaurants on the is;and (probably our strongest cuisine), they should be in the conversation for best.
