Despite having all receipts and returning all items, staff repeatedly insisted they could not issue the correct refund and cited "system limitations." During the process, the interaction became tense and uncomfortable, and I was treated as if I were being unreasonable for simply asking that the refund match what I had paid. I ultimately declined an incorrect partial refund and was referred to corporate customer service. Lilly Pulitzer Customer Care (not this store) was excellent. The corporate team was patient, professional, and worked to mediate the issue. Unbelievably, even with their involvement, the store remained resistant. The matter was finally resolved after Lilly Pulitzer corporate leadership intervened and contacted the local store manager,. Unfortunately, I had to return to the local Ardmore store for the store manager to process the return as she should have done in the first place. There was no acknowledgment or ownership of the error at the store level by the store manager. Customer Care did their job well. The store did not. This should never have required escalation or multiple visits.

As to the staff, I thought they were pleasant. Twice they inquired if I was looking for anything specific and they directed me to where I needed to be. They also told me about their fill-a-bag sale coming up (yes, I'll definitely be back, because I love a fill-a-bag thrift sale). I even spied some items at the counter I may come back for for myself. Overall, it was a great experience. You would be surprised how high new clothes for toddlers can run, so I only shop secondhand. In the long run, even saving a little goes a long way! This job required blue jeans, an article of clothing he previously shunned. I knew we'd need a variety of sizes and cuts for him to figure out what was most comfortable. So off we go to Old Navy, me happily and him looking like he was in the Bataan Death March. He's not a clothes shopper. As expected, they had their Wall Of Jeans, grouped by cut. We got there early, just after opening. What was surprising and disappointing was the disarray on the shelves. Jeans heaped in piles. Sizes all over the place. Sizes plain old missing. If looked like the end of a busy day, not the start. I plowed through, sending Sir Grumpy off to try on different cuts and measurements. Fairly...almost too quickly- he deemed a pair or two "perfect". Fine. I then browsed for some shorts for me, found a few great pairs. Done. This particular location is cavernous, as it was a Penn Fruit grocery store in a previous life. It's decent laid out and well lit. The staff were fine. Where it fell short though was in the disarray- either poor restocks no management, or none. Given that the big is an odd size tight now I likely will be going elsewhere in the future, where the stocking is better and the size availability is complete.

I have a mixed review of this boutique…read more The particular sales person (Mirella) who worked with me was really lovely, as was the seamstress Christine . It seemed clear to me however that the owner of the boutique, who had initially been extremely friendly over the phone, was not particularly interested in my business. Although she had originally told me on the phone when I made an appointment that she would be happy to help me select a dress, when I arrived she seemed cold and disinterested and handed me off to another salesperson . She then approached a second customer who seemed lovely - and was a size 0 for sure. I have heard that this is the reputation of the boutique, mostly catering to the size 0 and size 2 set. I feel very happy with my beautiful (expensive) dress . Again when I returned to pick it up today after it was fitted, the owner was fairly perfunctory with me. She didn't ask if I was happy with the dress that I was going to be wearing to my son's wedding. When one has a special event coming up and goes to a lovely boutique like this to pick something special out, one wants to feel like a special customer.
