In passing, I told the manager, George, that he could go ahead and fix any minor scratches that he thought would be worthwhile, as long as the cost overruns were kept to a minimum. The guys kept my car longer than initially scheduled and the entire process cost a few extra hundred bucks, but when I got my car back it looked brand new. We are talking a 6 year Honda that has criss-crossed the entire continent. They made it look absolutely brand new. For an absolutely pittance, I got a brand new car. Bottom line here is that if you are looking for a fast and dirty service, go somewhere else. But if you want the job to be well done, thorough, and professional, than come to Park Lane Auto Body. The place we had recommended to us was still closed at 8:15, so my wife tried one of the other places we had looked up, "Garage Keighan Mécanique". The woman she talked to was friendly, understood our concerns and timing issues, and they were willing to look at our car quickly before they went back to all the work they already had queued up. She called us back half an hour later, the problem was sorted. It was just a bent brake rotor causing some noise, so it wasn't a big deal, but the fact that they were able to help us immediately and get our plans back on track was very helpful and took away a big source of stress on our vacation. I can't swear that Garage Keighan Mécanique should be your choice for auto repair in Longueuil, but we had a good experience with them.

But, for two times now when we go to pick up the car there is a new problem. The first time it was a terrible noise that strangely they "immediately solved". They would not try out the car before calling the customer to pick it up. Even though we felt there was something not right we made the mistake to go back. This time it was only to change the muffler for a car that was functioning very well. When we go pick up the car, strangely it does not turn on anymore and they said it was like that since we brought it in and they "had pushed it inside" to repair the muffler . For starters, this does not make sense because if it were true they would have called us before doing anything on the car. Then, they said it would cost another $400 to repair the starter motor. Later ... they would try to fix it and if it works then we would have to pay the amount. If not, then well they couldn't do anything. Really absurd reasoning. We will never go back there again. Twice now the car leaves worse than before with something new to repair.
