No waiting 20 minutes through robots on a call to get a person. No sitting inside waiting 30 minutes for them to finally refill your prescriptions especially if one contains a controlled substance. As far as selection they seem to have everything except for compound prescriptions. Tom almost always answers immediately. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient and is willing to work with your prescriber, because the fault is rarely if ever on Rings' fault at least for me. I've been as far as Ireland where the pharmacy somehow knew my medical history and actually checked it before giving me medicine, Tom's better than that. He's THE GUY. I am unbelievably lucky I get to live here and Rings is an irreplaceable reason why I love this town.

I switched from the Chain pharmacy at the other end of town a while ago. I was pretty resistant. I…read moretold myself I needed a chain so I could get my meds in the road. Then the chain couldn't keep a pharmacist and I couldn't get my meds in town. After 15+ years of going to the chain I was a number in their register. At Barnes they know my by name, ask about my family, remind me of important things, and even worked with me to wrestle the insurance company to get me a longer cache of my meds when I would be on the road. And they have worked with me to help figure out a way to get things covered so I didn't have to pay out of pocket. I appreciated their help saving me money! This is where you need to be, and they never have a problem keeping a pharmacist! The shops is really cute too, so fun to browse in if you have to wait, lots of unique gift items for everyone in your life.
