Ian's business coaching is well worth the time, effort and money. I run a small CPA shop. He helped me refine my operations.

I'm writing a review for the magic that is Job Jenny. As a birthday gift to myself I purchased a…read moreresume. My contract position wasn't going to last forever and my resume needed some serious love. I found JobJenny dot com and she had me at "hello" with her bright yellow website that touted her as a "Job Search BFF and Tough Love Expert on finding your passion." She immediately filled both of those roles for me. After an hour phone consult and a couple business days, there it was... my new and 100x improved resume, fresh off the press. It showcased the same experience and talent my old resume did, but with the style, professionalism and extra oomph it desperately needed. I put my job search in full-swing three weeks ago, and today I received an offer for a position that has "me" written all over it, (only a week and a half out of work). In the process, the resume and the employer-friendly key words it came with brought in a total of 6 or 7 job/phone interviews and countless calls from recruiters. I felt so popular, and the inner monologue of "crap, how am I gonna get a job in this market?" was silenced by my Blackberry ringing off the hook. Jenny's prices for Resumes and Cover Letters are a steal, even for the budget-weary job seeker. Five stars doesn't seem like enough to express my gratitude, so between us Yelpers, consider this a 10 Star review.

I was doing terribly, so my dad and step-mom helped my brother and I get into therapy with RLC. I had my first therapy session with LMHC Lindsey Russet. I believe she was a wonderful fit for me, but she had to step away after a couple months to a year for maternity leave. I had the option to continue with video calls instead of in-person meetings, but my parents did not believe that to be as effective at the time. I feel grateful for her time, and wished her the best. With my first therapist no longer available, RLC had to move me to a new therapist. Despite the seemingly long list of providers in their website, I only had one option. Unfortunately, he was not the right one. I never truly felt comfortable with this provider, but continued to see him anyway. Our disconnect made the sessions feel impersonal and a waste of time. He would ask me to try techniques in-office that I did not like (breathing techniques) and we would often talk about things unrelated to my mental health issues. It felt like he didn't understand me at all. After all of this wasted time, I knew I finally had to step up and do something, otherwise I would continue seeing this provider that I knew was not benefiting me. I had taken some control in the conversation and was asking his thoughts on my situation, because I had a feeling he didn't see what was wrong. I was correct. After he said something The Board would not have like to hear, and something I disagreed with (never reported and do not intend to), I had my closure and could leave counseling without guilt. I went a couple years without therapy and missed my first therapist every so often, but Real Life Counseling was not an option for me anymore. I would not consider going there again. That latter experience was subpar, and I hope other clients that visit RLC have a better experience than I did.

They had me pay in full for a visit but then afterwards, my insurance paid. I was left with a credit on my account and my counselor no longer works with this practice due to other reasons. Investing in coaching from Chris Hayes is one of the best decisions I have made in my career. The…read more3.5 years I have worked with Chris have been by far the most productive, stimulating and fun stretch of my career. Not coincidentally, this run of good form on the career front while working with Chris has contributed to my personal life outside of work being more balanced and satisfying. I signed up for career coaching with Chris at a point in my career where I realized that I needed to own my own professional development as opposed to assuming my current or future manager(s) would have the skill set, interest and available time to make sure I was hitting my professional goals. Chris consistently creates a comfortable and fun space in our meetings that has allowed me to take an honest approach to my professional development and our monthly meetings are always rewarding and useful. In our meetings we strategize around my current goals, dig into problems I'm dealing with at work and flesh out the specific things I'm doing so I can confidently articulate my value. We also laugh a lot! I am grateful to have a coach and champion like Chris to help make sure I successfully navigate all the twists and turns, highs and low's of my professional journey. If you are curious about whether or not to explore career coaching, I highly recommend doing yourself a favor and booking an appointment with Chris. You won't regret it.

After a year I moved into an IT based role within the company, despite knowing little about fundamentals in IT but wanted to challenge myself to learn something new. My manager at the time, had been working with Hayes and recommended him to me as a way to accelerate my growth. At the time I was dealing with some intense imposter syndrome, being a female POC in a male dominated technology space, and knew that I needed some sort of guidance to get me through it. I felt like a fish out of water and decided to take the leap to meet with Hayes. I was skeptical about what a coach could offer me, mainly because I had never experienced anything close to professional coaching before. Immediately upon meeting Hayes for drinks to get to know each other I felt at ease. Over my nearly three years in working with Hayes I have found him to be my most enthusiastic champion, a staunch feminist, creative problem solver, and an empathetic listener. Throughout our time working together I have been promoted twice, expanded my scope of work, moved into a managerial position, and have embraced challenge after challenge with relative ease. I would recommend anyone seek Hayes out if you have the means to do so no matter where you are in your career or what industry you are in.
