    Restricted beach front only for contractors not for renters.

    Stay away from and or cancel your rental at SurfMaster Condo on Garden City Beach. The entire beach front is off limits to renters due to umbrella contract that will force you to pay $40 per day to sit on beach front. You must drag your gear way past the property to use your own equipment for beach front.

    While planning a spring break vacation to Garden City, I knew that I wanted a house with a private pool, lots of bedrooms and close to the ocean. I did a google search and bam! I got exactly what I wanted. I was able to pinpoint exactly what I wanted and sent in an application for reservations. I thought it was a little strange to fill out an application to be able to stay but I was notified quickly, that our reservations were approved and the deposit went through. We arrived after business hours but had received a detailed email letting us know what we needed to do in order to get to our home. We were provided with keys and instructions that were left on the property. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised that all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The property was amazing. Very clean and in a great location. The house has 3 balconies, laundry room, living room, an amazing kitchen, downstairs master, 1 half bath, living room upstairs (listed as a 5th bedroom but equipped with 2 sofas), 3 bedrooms upstairs and all with their own bathrooms. The realty company provided us with garbage bags, towels, sheets, washcloths, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. We had to go to the realty company office the next morning to sign paperwork for our rental. Everyone that we encountered was very polite and professional. We had one lady let us know she was new and would be with us shortly. We were finally taken care of by another employee that asked for the last name on the rental. I gave her the last name and signed paperwork and was told that was everything that was needed. I was surprised that they did not need to see an ID, get a credit card on file for security or verify any information that was given to them weeks ago via the online application. Though everyone was helpful and very polite, I would want more information/verification about the guests that were staying in my home if I were the owner. Check out was hassle free and quick. Again, everyone in the office asked how our trip was and thanked us for staying at one of their vacation homes. I can't speak for every property but our rental was great. We had someone come and clean the pool during our stay who was very friendly. The house was very clean and well maintained.

    I was charged an additional $430.00 for the cleaning service having to do their job--clean. There was less than a dust pan of dirt/debris swept which was not mine. No one in my party of 6 wore make-up (no need for a beauty blender) and no one has the type of hair you would need a hair pick for. Even if it was ours, I paid a cleaning fee up front. Also, the blood massacre they claim happened which supposedly resulted in having to replace most of the bedding. My party consisted of 2 grown men, 2 grown women (one of which has passed that monthly time in her life and the other was fortunate enough to be free of that time during vacation) and 2 teenage boys. Those few bogus blood spots and that dust pan of trash - $430.00??? No one in my party bled while on vacation. I have asked for time stamped photos for my proof that this occurred while my family was in the home. I have not received any time stamped photos to prove this happened on Saturday, July 29th. How can you charge a person any amount of money without showing them VALID proof that the problem was their fault? I need VALID PROOF that this happened during the time my family stayed at this property. I also noticed another complaint against GCR for thr same thing!!!

    Dennis McElveen is not a nice guy and was rude. I wouldn't suggest renting from here just in case he shows up.

She agreed to become our agent for the Myrtle Beach Conway area. We all hit the net and found multiple listings, and sent those request to her to review. Durning several conversations about our time there being short, we would like to see as many houses as we possibly can and that we started out in the Columbia area with agents. We at first had a set date for Sunday, which she really didn't want to do. It happened that we were able to get ahead of schedule due to some of the Columbia listings had just got contracts on them and that we had a free day open so we reached out to her and let her know that if she would like to move up the schedule it's doable and will free up the Sunday. She gladly agreed to do so...then at 5am on the day of the viewings, she dropped us like a hot potato saying that she can't represent us, and that her "team" decided the same thing. via email, even after being asked to send texts, that the email is attached to a business computer and not the phone so access is limited. So we flew out here to South Carolina to look at homes and the ones in the Myrtle Beach / Conway area, now is a total bust. Now we're lost, pissed and over this and yes, you probably guessed it, a text was sent with some extremely chose words in it, but after spending time , a boat load of money and adjusting to her schedule; can you blame it. In short: Do not use this real estate agent and or if true the "team". The whole time while setting up the schedule she just seem more interested in her baseball games and private life then trying to work with customers and earn a commission. This should have been our red flag from the start. Apparently this girl does not want to do her job if it gets in the way of her personal life, there definitely isn't a feeling of drive.

As soon as we walked in there was a terrible smell, not sure if it was smoke or burnt food! Either way a thorough cleaning would have helped! Not even close! This property was filthy! The first thing you see is the living area with disgusting, filthy, ripped furniture! We were literally shocked that they would even rent it this way! Through out the vacation we had to have the furniture covered with sheets to sit on it! The one chair was literally broken! Sheets from the "linen package" were left in plastic bins in the living rooms, when we went to make the beds the mattress pads were stained and dirty! We called immediately and were told they would send some from housekeeping. She came but basically nothing she could do, had someone else come to vacuum and mop the kitchen floor. She called to have someone bring mattress pads. She agreed the property was not clean, sand and dust on the dressers, mattress pads, stains on furniture, sticky food on floor, bugs in the fridge. They said they would bring clean mattress pads which they never did. When I called again on Monday and spoke to someone again on Monday he didn't do anything either. I told him we spent the first evening of our vacation cleaning and at Walmart buying mattress covers, cleaning supplies and candles he said he was surprised as they had not received other complaints! He said he would speak to the owner. Still no return call, I called again Thursday and offered to email pictures and explain what we were dealing with he said that would be good and he would "speak to the own..." He did call back Thursday evening and left a message while we were at dinner and saying he had not heard back from the owner, "he must be speaking to the home owner and as soon as he gets back to me I will give you a call." It's Sunday evening, we have returned home from our trip. I have heard nothing but they will be hearing from me again... I gave one star for the location, beach front and the outside of the home. However, pool was never cleaned had Aton of sand in it when we got there and even more when we left. Grill is disgusting...do not plan on cooking on the grill because no one cleans that either!

Rectify my issue, answer my questions and don't respond by talking down to me.     This company has been overrated at 2.4 stars. Bill (HOA manager) and Mike (owner) came to look at…read morerepairs for our property. When I called to speak with Bill about the repairs, he raised his voice at me. When Bill and Mike arrived onsite, I asked a simple question of who's responsibility the water damage on the exterior wall was. Neither of them would answer the question, instead deflected as to how old they thought the damage was. Mike and Bill repeatedly spoke over top of me when I was asking questions. When I asked them politely to answer the question I asked, Bill advanced on me from 2 ft to six inches and yelled in my face. When I told him to speak respectfully to me, he and Mike stormed off angrily stating "they were done and leaving". This company is embarissingly unprofessional and clearly unable to control their tempers, which makes them dangerous to do business with. No one else raised their voice, or lost their tempers, including the other property owner, and our general contractor. However, Bill seems to treat intimidation as a normal way of communicating.
