Beautiful shop and the women were nice, however, they sold me over a dozen roses that they said would last for 2 weeks and after 3 days they were completely open and wilting. I called and asked if they could do anything to compensate me and no one returned my call. I am disappointed and will not use their services in the future. I had researched some florists in the area and this seemed the best in Mount Pleasant in terms of quality and price. They are quite tucked away in an industrial area and probably normally deliver large orders to offices; they don't quite have a storefront for walk-in customers so we weren't sure if we were in the right place at first, but I ended up really happy with my experience. We got here on a rainy Saturday evening around 5:50pm, hoping to get a terrarium as a gift by the time they closed in ten minutes. The staff was very nice but actually couldn't really answer our questions about the terrariums; the manager was next door getting some food for the staff and once she came back she was incredibly helpful, telling us about the prices, options, and most useful, the the custom terrarium. The pre-made terrariums are $35 and there are several shapes of glass globes that can stand on a counter or be hung. However, if you custom make a terrarium, the cost is: - $10 for an average-sized spherical dome - $2 to fill a small container with a large selection of rocks, moss, decorative stuff - a free twig (it sounds silly but they do add to the landscape of a terrarium) - the cost of a small succulent plant The total cost was only $19 for my personalized piece of art! Garden Party Florists are totally awesome. They are Vancouver's Flower Geeks! They love what they do and know their stuff: colours, seasons, and growers. It is exciting to simply be in their store and look at all the cool plants in there. I got married this year in November and it being late fall and all, there aren't that many vibrant local flowers to choose from, but Amy + her crew made it work! They are enthusiastic and helpful, if you're not sure exactly what you want. Some brides like the all white look, and they have pages of that on their flickr site, but we wanted colourful, fun and interesting, within our budget. I did have some unreasonable budget expectations (we shopped around ) but Garden Party were nice about it and reset my expectations with some suggestions and images of what could be accomplished with the original budget and also estimates for what we really wanted. They were BUSY BUSY BUSY, but as the wedding got closer they sent pictures of sample arrangements for the dining tables and even my bridal bouquet. The decision was a total no brainer. Not only did I know what I was getting with Garden Party, the design was clean, fun and sophisticated. One of the other florists we had talked to said she envied [Garden Party] who had that sort of stock on hand to be able make us a sample. We didn't have to worry about the setup of the mirrors or even the bridal and bridesmaid vases we bought on the side (cheaper at Canadian Tire and Michaels respectively). We just dropped them off a few days before the event and they took care of everything! There were even extra rose petals prettily arranged on the signing table which I KNOW we forgot all about when we ordered our flowers. The only down side was that my groom's bouquet (of 3 delicate mokora orchids to match my bouquet) wasn't able to stand up to the millions of hugs we got from well-wishers before and after the ceremony. It didn't even make it to reception time except the decorative sprig of berries on it! read more

I used to use this shop for my work purposes (consulting group)... based in Los Angeles, but had to fly out to Vancouver a lot, we could always depend on Garden Party for their help. I think I've put them through hell a few times, as I had a couple of last minute fly-ins and needed some flowers for decoration ASAP. I only came across this shop, because I have 2 clients that use them to decorate their corporate offices... which actually is a VERY good idea I had never thought about for my own offices in LA. It really does make the environment more classy for when clients walk in... its like that extra cherry on top, the one to close the sale. The staff here was so helpful, they filled my order by staying after their closing time just to help me out. And they have this fat cat, which I guess is their mascot..... everyone loves that cat! The flowers they offer are VERY fresh. I dont know the first thing about flowers, but I told them of the focus groups/events/meetings I would have to hold in Vancouver, and they would email me a few arrangements so I could choose... which btw, all their arrangements look phenomenal!!! But since im a guy, i still didnt know which arrangements to choose per event I had to run.... so i always left it up to the shop, and never once have they pushed me to buy more than i needed. they are very honest about their business. But im sad i left my job, and no longer have to fly to vancouver as much... unless its for family. I still use these guys to buy flowers for my relatives in the area... and for a while I used them to send roses to my ex.... but thats whole different story. The owner here is also quite a tech geek, and they were doing this consultation for a wedding... they had all these pics and stuff on a nice computer to show what they've done before... and word on the street is, they started using the iPad too... which is a pretty neat idea for a florist. most other florists ive been to, they cant show you anything... and if they do have anything, its from these old photos that are faded... My little Valentine's Day bouquet was the cutest thing I have ever seen!! I bought it or my sister and she was the one who recommended me to come here. Once I walked in, there were many friendly people greeting me. I wished at the time, they had some bouquets ready for purchase but it was V-Day so I'm sure they ran out pretty fast. I was invited to go inside the fridge and since no prices were marked, I had to ask how much each item was. I dealt with Amy and another girl, (I'm sorry I forgot your name if you read this) and they were both extremely nice and pleasant to deal with over the phone. They were also really quick when responding, even through email! I needed a custom floral arrangement which was a custom casket spray that was 12x24 and Amy went out of her way to find something that could accommodate my tiny need. My flower arrangements were also delivered at the exact time that she specified they would be for a small fee. Lastly and most importantly the floral arrangement was beautiful. I've been a customer at garden party since 2012 and the service and quality has really gone down over the years. My bf bought flowers from them this valentines 2017 and he had pre order the flower but was treated poorly when picking up the flowers and the order was wrong too. He had requested for RED roses but there was no red roses and they were really Rude to him. Mind you these flowers are over $100+ at the end they told him he can replace the red roses if it's withering because the quality of it is already like that. These roses aren't long stem either for the price they charge I expect better quality. I have attached some photos of the flowers 3 days after. Oh and btw I cannot replace other colours besides the red. But we are not even gonna bother to go there ever again. read more

Amazing flower arrangements and outstanding customer service from Amy and her team at Garden Party Flowers! Amy worked closely with me to ensure my vision of the floral arrangements would work but I would have to say they ended up exceeding my expectations. I loved my bouquet and dried some of the roses as a keepsake. Prior to the start of the ceremony, it was quite windy and the tall vases for the flower arrangements fell over and broke. Amy and her team redesigned the flower arrangements the best they could given the circumstances and they looked beauitful. Later on, Garden Party Flowers also added a few flowers to the flower arrangements in addition to putting them in new tall vases for the reception. I suppose it may be an obvious answer as to why I was so moved with the incredible arrangement and attention to detail in the presentation and quality of the flowers and vase. However, I am forced to digress into a captivated precise of my thoughts and feelings as soon as my reaction set in. I believe it may be the best fit to start at the flowers themselves. The richness of colour, and the shy yet revealing presence of the eucalyptus greens made the perfect background to the image of the flowers as they first appear to you. Not only that, but without this background, the foreground would not be what it is. The rest of the arrangement showers the bouquet with crisp and refreshing combinations of colour that seem as though they each tell their own story. The flowers give off the idea of knowing that beauty encapsulated is possible and that giving your friend that ever so important smile on the day that they were born possible. As the grand finale, the marble vase is essential piece to the whole display. Marble, being my favorite, portrays the delicate yet strikingly purposeful holder of that which is supposed to give you joy and beauty. The marble is the perfect material that aligns with the subtle background and expressive foreground and which brings together everything. The power of white and the wholeness of the cracks, signifying that which binds all of this wonder together, is the epitome of the sort of yin and yang that makes life what it is. You need this piece in your life, and you need this in your house to show people what they are missing. The treatment I received was second to none including carrying my flowers to my car for me and making sure they were situated on the back seat so they didn't fall over and get wrecked (they didn't!).
