Garden Patch has been a part of our family since 2020, and we honestly wouldn't want to go anywhere else. From the start, the management and staff have treated us with warmth, kindness, and empathy. The biggest difference here is the genuine care from the management--they truly invest in the growth and well-being of our children. They take the time to get to know each child and always support their development in meaningful ways. Any issues we've had have been addressed quickly and professionally. The infant staff is the best in West Omaha--they go above and beyond to create a safe, loving, and fun environment for our little one. Now that my son is in pre-K, he's enjoying new and engaging activities that are tailored to his needs, keeping him both challenged and excited to learn. The facility is always clean and inviting, with plenty of age-appropriate play areas for both of my kids to explore. And there are so many wonderful family activities throughout the year, like Thanksgiving and summer luncheons, gingerbread house-making, and an annual book fair. My kids have been attending for almost three years and we absolutely love garden patch.

I completely disagree with the previous comment indicating that Garden Patch CLC is a bad place to take your kids. I find it is quite the opposite. Garden Patch offers a very friendly, caring, supervised, structured environment. It is an equal mix between professional and educational that I am proud to have my daughter be a part of. The previous reviewers mention of illness always being present - are you kidding, this is in ANY daycare facility! Garden Patch does just what they should do - they provide a very detailed handbook which outlines their sickness policy (among many other things) and they inform parents right away when an illness breaks out. Any doctor/nurse will tell you that by the time a child is notably sick, they have most likely been sick for at least a few days and being around other kids daily, you can't prevent everything. KIDS GET SICK! Also, I find the facility to be very clean. In fact, the adjoining bathrooms between classrooms have cleaning schedules and staff sign up/are assigned daily cleaning chores. The rooms are always picked up for the next day; the floors constantly get vacuumed and mopped (I have seen them doing it several times, first hand). As for boo-boos, again, KIDS GET BOO-BOOS! Garden Patch is very good about providing incident reports when a child gets hurt, even if it is minor. Parents are required to sign off on them which shows that they are always kept in the loop. They have playgrounds that are safe and completely fenced in with privacy fences. From what I have seen firsthand, they have staff that constantly monitors the children in their rooms and ensure the children are kept in order. My daughter has learned so much since being with Garden Patch. Staring in the 2's class, she learned and was able to count to 10 in Spanish (and even say a few words). They integrate education with art and play, which is extremely important for child development. I have an entire tote full to the brim with worksheets, art, and other things that my daughter has learned on a daily basis. So I am not sure why the previous commenter indicated there is no structure...it is very structured and activities are age-appropriate yet challenging. The owner of Garden Patch takes extreme pride in what she is able to provide to her families and their children. She even emails everyone to let them know when she is going to be out of town or out of the office (for training and such) for period of time - no other daycare director I have ever come across does this. In fact, you hardly ever SEE directors at other facilities - but the director at Garden Patch is very hands on and is on-site constantly. I never hesitate to recommend Garden Patch to anyone who asks or is looking for childcare, because this facility is not just merely "daycare," it provides infant/childcare, preschool, pre-k all wrapped into one. There is a very high teacher turnover at this place! My son had 3 different teachers in 3 months. The director is never there so needless to say the place lacks management. We had an issue with one of the teachers and the director didn't even know her by name! I pulled my son out as we had several upsetting issues in a short amount of time, including one of the teachers swept my baby's blanket with a broom right before nap time and I caught it on camera!! read more

I could only work there for a few days, due to me getting full-blown pneumonia from the 12-18 month old children I was taking care of. 90% of them were sick with something, crying all day, because they felt miserable, like a normal child would. One even threw up all over herself and the poor excuse for "directors" acted like it was nothing to worry about. The directors go out of their way to prioritize kids over the other ones and I felt bad for the others. I should've listened to all the people who told me to stay far, far way from this literal petri dish of germs on a whole other level. I loved the kids and I miss them, and the other teachers I worked with were awesome, but the "directors" need to be knocked off their horses. Last time I checked, it's not even legal to have a full-classroom of children, when all of them but maybe one or two, are seriously sick. Not just a runny nose, but some needs breathing treatments done, needing medicine, had fevers, coughing constantly, and crying because their bodies hurt. Please choose any of the other 5 million childcare centers in the area. Stay far away from this place. read more

My children have been going to Garden Patch for over four years now. We love the center! The staff is wonderful, the facility is clean, the owner cares for my kids like they are her own. My son thrived under the Garden Patch learning curriculum. He entered kindergarten way ahead of the learning curve, his teacher pointing out how impressed she was with his reading skills. And it's carried on into first grade. The activities, the field trips, the special days the center provides for the children only reiterate their commitment to making Garden Patch the best daycare/preschool facility in Omaha. We have been with Garden Patch for 4 years now and can't imagine going somewhere else! We have 2 kids there for preschool/before and after school and when our other kids are old enough for preschool they will start there too. I have had many issue arise with my children's behavior (problems with my child, not the center) and each issue is handled with profession and respect. I love the at home feeling I get when I walk in and Laura is walking around to see what the kids are doing or helping out where she is needed. When I have a concern I just walk into Laura's office and sit down to discuss it. Her door is always open and she's available for feedback. Every teacher there smiles and says hello when they see you and even if they are not my kids' teacher, they know my childs name. I do not have the luxury of staying home every day with my children but I have no doubt in my mind that they are in WONDERFUL hands at Garden Patch! read more

Please don't take your children here! After moving here I was so happy to find Garden Patch. It looks like a wonderful facility and the teachers seem so nice. After attending for 6 months it became obvious that there is absolutely no supervision at the center. There is never anyone at the front door, there is never a manager/director available or on-site except for a couple hours in the morning. You have to email them to talk about stuff and then you wait for weeks to get a response. The teachers, which are 20-something girls, are left to supervise their own rooms. The kids literally run wild. My kid had so many bruises, head hits, cuts, etc. because all he did was run around the class. There is no curriculum, no learning, no structured activities. I'm not exaggerating when I say my child went the ENTIRE day without having his diaper changed. There were feces on the floor in the toddler bathroom for 3 straight days. It's just gross. The place looks nice on the outside but the inside is horrible and the owner should be ashamed of herself for not taking better care of these kids. Please take your kids anywhere else but here. I had to wait for 2 months before I could get my kids out and they are doing so much better now! read more
