Then I found out that DeSoto had an Urgent Care of Kansas clinic that opened in my hometown of De Soto, and I decided to give it a chance, though I was still incredibly anxious and skeptical. From the moment I met Dr. Saboor Rashid, the experience was different. He didn't just listen to my long list of symptoms; he really listened. He was attentive and took the time to examine me. He confidently diagnosed my issue and assured me, "I know what that is, we're going to fix it." When I left the office, still filled with doubt, I returned to ask him to confirm my diagnosis. His compassionate response, "Let's not worry about the diagnosis--take the medicine and come back to your next appointment. I do believe you," was exactly what I needed to hear. Just as he predicted, I started getting better. He has since put me on a path to healing, and my chronic conditions are improving. The severe rash that tormented me for so long is finally gone. My arthritis is under control. I'm looking into different ways to lose weight. I have also been able to get off medications like Xanax, pain pills, and Suboxone. It isn't just Dr. Rashid who makes this place special, although he could be, is that amazing. Tony, who man's the front desk,( I do need to set an appointment) answers phone calls, provides technical support with the tablets and is right on with his ability to handle insurance and patient questions all while keeping everything else in order to not once has shown if he was frustrated or makes me feel like I'm annoying if I ask questions. He is amazing. In all my visits to both the De Soto and Gardner offices, I have yet to encounter a single person who is rude or condescending. The entire staff is knowledgeable, truly wants to help, and will help. I've never trusted a doctor more and can't recommend this clinic enough. When my kids need urgent care, who are 4 and 5 years old; one of them has a brain injury, they come here too. I can't give this place enough stars and I'm not exaggerating if you're looking for a new primary care doctor or you just need to get urgwn, this is the place to be you won't find a better team! Dr. Nazario is one of the best family practice doctors. She is kind, thoughtful, and been there for me during loads of changes in my life, always with great advice. As for this practice, I've had hit or miss with some of the on call practitioners, and the front desk staff. Overall I'd say 9/10 times it's great, but there are off days. I would recommend Dr. Nazario to anyone though that is looking for a really great doc.

Dr. Sinclair listened to all my concerns and was very thorough in helping me find answers to my medical issues. I had several tests and she went way over and above by calling me personally with results to put my mind at ease. One particular test was done and results came in on a Friday. Family Health Specialist is a clean, very modern office and the staff has been naturally friendly and caring. Dr. Bessey listens to my issues and takes action based on what I say and doesn't have his head buried into a laptop like the previous doctor and office I had used. Unfortunately I was recently forced to find a new primary care physician because my insurance does not accept her as a provider anymore. I would definitely recommed Dr. Smith as a family doctor. She's great. She always spent a lot of time talking with me about my concerns, treated me with the utmost respect and has good social skills. I've heard from other people as well that have Dr. Smith as their pcp and they think she's a great doctor too. Once arriving, the check-in process is smooth. New patients must present ID and insurance. Once you're in the system, only an updated insurance card is needed (if applicable). The nurses are very attentive and friendly and Dr. Ensminger is the best. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he truly cares about his patients as well. I always feel welcomed here and that's why I keep coming back.

Larry has a great "bedside manner," very professional and knowledgeable, but he always surprises me with his common sense. Example: I had an orthopedist tell me I'd need knee surgery soon. I told Larry, and he told me that's what they get paid for - doing knee surgeries. Larry instead gave me a three injection treatment that I've done twice now, and it helps tremendously. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with this practice. They are Christian-based (I think) but all that's meant to me is they care about their patients. I can't recommend College Park Family Care highly enough, and I'm old enough to have had experience with *lots* of doctors. :)
