I was vacationing the national parks, and had a situation where I needed an emergency room. I went online to look for an ER close to me. Garfield Memorial Hospital had good reviews so I went there. I live in a big city, I wasn't sure what to expect. What I found was the best emergency room of all time. Dr. Mooney and everyone I came in contact with took amazing care of me. Came here at 2am feeling very sick while on a roadtrip. The nurses were so kind, and also radiology and doctor treated me so well. I was the only patient there and was attended to very quickly. Was camping at Bryce and had some concerns for my husband. Was worried about how equipped they would be being so remote. Took him into the ER. They are well-equipped. My review is for the emergency room and the hospital. The ER staff was fantastic!!! Quick to respond and I was surprised at the level of attention and service in a smaller hospital. Very professional and I felt they were sincerely concerned for my needs. The ER doctor (Marshall) was extremely thoughtful, understanding, and I felt he really listened. My visit ended up being a precautionary overnight stay in the hospital. The entire hospital staff was fantastic! I loved the level of care I received. I spent most of my time with my favorite nurse, Tanielle, who was simply the best. She kept me very comfortable and informed. Even though I had some overnight interruptions for tests, everyone was sympathetic and understanding. The next morning, my nurse was Susan, and my Aide was Alana. Again, very understanding and wonderful! Doctor Marshall arrived and we discussed the future but he was just as he was the night before. I'm extremely thankful that we have such a great hospital so close. I would highly recommend this hospital to friends and family and the treatment I received is right up there at the top. They accommodated my family needs in regards to visitation and were very kind to them as well. I can't thank the entire team enough for such great care and I'm sure glad they were there. read more

Great staff here. We were visiting in Marysvale for a month. I woke very dizzy, congested and sinus pressure. Was pretty sure it was a sinus infection. There was no wait. We were greeted at the ED entrance and I explained my symptoms. I went straight into a room an the examination started. It appears they wanted to rule out a stroke considering some of my symptoms. Fortunately that was the case. At the time Sage was in full bloom so I am apparently allergic to Sage. We don't have Sage on the east coast. All in all the ED was very efficient and caring. If you need help there is no better place to be. Visiting Bryce Canyon, had family emergency with a family member, the staff and medical professionals were great. Their kindness, professionalism, and care not only for our mom, but for our entire party was outstanding. Wish every medical facility could be like this hospital. We were vacationing in the area when our son had a mountain bike accident. Garfield Memorial Hospital was the closest, so we took him there. The entire staff from the woman who checked him to the nurses, the man in imaging, and the doctor were wonderful. They were very friendly, professional, and kind. It turns out he had a broken collarbone. They cleaned him up, put him in a brace and sling, and suggested he see his regular doctor for surgery. We felt they really cared about him. They helped make a bad situation less stressful. If only all emergency rooms were like this. read more

What an incredibly friendly place. I went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain which occurred while we were traveling to tour Bryce NP. I was seen immediately and had a cat scan to determine kidney stones. I was treated with such care and kindness. The nurse even called the local pharmacy to stay open while my partner ran down to get prescriptions filled. Wonderful staff and wonderful little town. Thank you. read more

Unfortunately we had a sick toddler but fortunately there is a hospital within a 50 mile radius from the cabin. Even when the whole town of Panguitch was closed on Sunday, the hospital was open and available to see our daughter. A Dr. is usually on call but thankfully was there when we arrived. We were on vacation at Bryce National Park. We left the park at about 11 pm. One of our kids had a very bad sore throat thinking that she had strep. We drove to Garfield Memorial Hospital where we felt very welcome the moment that we stepped into the door. Paola at the front desk was very helpful. They Took her in right away. We mentioned to Paola the we didn't have a place to sleep, she started to google hotels in he area and started to call the hotels to make reservations. The doctor on call was Dr. Colin Marshall. He went to see my daughter immediately. He spent so much time explaining what was his findings. He really treated us like family. I wish all doctors would be like him. When we were discharged from the hospital, he showed concerned where we were going to spent the night, he even find us a place to stay for the night. It was a great experience.
