I mean I don't love coming here every time I visit Utah, but it seems to be a yearly thing. Went here for my son's injury and everyone was so nice and understanding. I love it here! The waiting room is so clean and they even have security in the lobby which makes me feel good. The ER rooms are clean, and I like that you can't hear anything else once inside. The nurse, doctor and team are really nice and thorough. They make sure you understand before you are discharged. Hopefully I won't be back, but who knows. read more

So we arrived at ER at 9:40 pm on 10/28/2025. They got us registered and in triage for a xray. There was no beds available. At 2:30 am we were still in waiting room. All we needed was to get the xray read to us so we can move on. Not so impressive with me. This was the worst and longest ive ever waited here. I could of been to St. George ER and back home by now. I understand being behind but dont leave everyone just sitting around. Especially for just a reading. So for the way I feel because until tonight I recommended this cedar city location. Communication with clients would be helpful and maybe a paycheck cause I could of sat at dest and checked us in. SMH read more

Intermountain's billing process is dishonest. When a doctor submits an order, they must guess how to write the order in order for the hospital to code it for billing. I recently went for routine labs, and the order was written by the doctor that it was for routine labs, yet Intermountain billed it as diagnostic labs. Because it was incorrectly coded, my insurance did not pay. When speaking with the hospital, they asked we have the doctor resubmit the order and Intermountain would correct it. We did what they asked and had the doctor resubmit the order. Intermountain did not do what they said they would do. What they did do was continue to nag me about the bill that was due. We spoke with billing and let them know that it was being reprocessed and requested the bill due date be adjusted DUE TO THEIR MISTAKE. Intermountain would not budge. I will do everything in my power to never visit an Intermountain hospital again. read more

I have a degenerative back disease, and MRIs at this hospital are 3000 dollars. You can go to St. george and get it done for 400. They own there own collection company so they don't negotiate they charge as much as possible. My baby cost 33000 dollars all natural 3 hour birth but we had to stay 24 hours. This place is a scam we took my daughter in for a skin issue. we got told no big deal 800 bucks they literally did nothing cause it was Sunday, and we had to go to the emergency room. The staff was nice and wanted to help but they were not deaf-friendly at the beginning they use the VRI and that has been helpful but once they come back after the test or discharge they do not turn on the VRI. This is why you have a live interpreter so the doctors or nurses don't forget to turn on the VRI. I don't mind using the VRI at the beginning but in the meantime, the hospital can get a LIVE INTERPRETER so this won't happen. I got home not knowing what to do because they told a member that hearing who doesn't live with me. But it's nice for my child to know my well-being. Don't talk to hearing people and leave deaf people out. That is the problem. A LIVE INTERPRETER should been there to make everyone in the conversation. They were able to manage my pain until I got home to see my doctor in my town. read more

Cedar ER is beyond a fucking joke. Sending me home doubling over in pain with pancreatitis on top of a kidney and bladder infection (and more than likely kidney stones). They will NEVER have mine or my families service ever again. The nurse I had was a snobby bitch to me because I wanted to see the physician, not the dumbass PA, they never hooked me up to IV fluids or got a CT scan when the physicians changed for the night. I wouldn't wish my dying enemy to ever go to this hospital. They will NO LONGER receive any service from me. read more

I came to the ER with some extremely painful torn tendon issues in my left knee. One pain injection was given. After inconclusive Xray and MRI scans, we just sat in hour after hour. The PAs were great, but the ER physician would not see me. I might add that I'm a married gay man in my mid sixties. In conclusion;doctor refused to see an injured man in substantial pain, because he's gay. Is that legal? read more

If you have an emergency, you are much better off going to a quick care or driving to St George. The staff that check you in at Emergency Registration have horrid bedside manner. My brother was presenting with symptoms of a stroke, so we rushed him to this ER. We were the only ones in the waiting room, but had waited about 10-15 minutes after check in with complete silence from the registration staff. He was in immense pain, so I asked the woman who checked him in on clarification on what exactly we were waiting on and if we could get an approximate time of when he would get back to see the doctor. The woman then told me the back was full and that's why it was taking longer. She then followed with laughing at my question with the comment of, "well he's breathing right now, so we'll get him back when we can." As I was extremely upset with her extremely unprofessional response to my brother's immense pain, I began to walk away. As soon as I turned my back, my other family members watched her roll her eyes at me and snicker to the co-worker next to her. And if that was not awful enough, after 5 minutes, my family and I noticed 2 security guards walk out from the back and made a very sarcastic comment to the ER registration worker on how "full" they were tonight. Then proceeded to stare right at us. I am pretty clueless how individuals like this are able to work in an emergency room. But what I do know is that their behavior was absolutely unacceptable. read more

The staff is great, the medical care is great. The billing department is a disaster. They code things wrong. The charge for preventative care which is covered under the affordable care act. They try to charge after the insurance company pays the contract price. They ho after the patient. The state has had to intervene with the billing department more than once. They threaten the patients with collection. When they are found to be at fault for wrongful billing. The correct it and go on repeating the same mistakes. They make the medical staff look bad. read more

The doctors are nice but I went for a blood test because I knew the pee test would come back negative, I told them this THREE OR FOUR TIMES. Any time someone came into the room. They said it was "invasive" and they don't do blood work if they don't have to. I will not be coming back. read more

Great experience! We are in Cedar City from another state and had an emergency. We went to the ER and were taken right back to be seen. Staff was kind and courteous. Trevor was an excellent nurse, and shout out to Jake for his awesome needle work! Dr. Allan was kind and sympathetic. Someone was in constantly asking if we were OK or needed anything. It also needs to be noted that staff seemed to work well together, ending our night with a Journey serenade. Patient is feeling better after all that and is interviewing today. Thanks! Went here for some doctor recommended testing which took about four hours (average for the test that I had). I arrived early morning to the ER for check-in. My testing began about 15 minutes after my scheduled time. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. Extremely professional and caring. A very clean hospital (staff was busy cleaning first thing in the morning). When I was in the waiting room, I had a few of the staff check to make sure I did not need anything. But my assigned nurses were the best! Very professional and even though this is not the most modern facility when it comes to advanced cardiac care, I'm confident of their ability to handle whatever walks in the door. read more

I would highly recommend driving to St. George emergency if you can make it there and not go to Cedar City emergency. My husband got COVID end of September 2021, he was vaccinated and considered a breakthrough case. We went to ER at Cedar City Hospital on a Monday, he was very dehydrated, hadn't been eating for days, had terrible body aches, felt like his eyes were going to pop out of his head and felt terrible. They treated him for dehydration and basically sent us home, the ER dr. never even came into our room. We went back two days later on Wednesday; he was having a hard time breathing and had to be put on oxygen because his level was low. He still wasn't eating; they ran more tests and he had significantly gotten worse. I asked why he wasn't offered Regeneron on Monday. The ER dr. this night was very nice and actually came into the room and explained things. He said he read over the chart notes and my husband would have been the perfect candidate for Regeneron and he doesn't know why it wasn't offered, but now it was too late because he had to be put on oxygen. Supposedly my husband did not meet all the "criteria" to be admitted even though he had lost 30 lbs. in 7 days, could barely stand up and walk on his own and literally thought a few times he was going to die at home. This dr. on Wednesday was doing everything he could to get my husband admitted, but they just wouldn't do it. This dr. said I wouldn't be surprised if I see you back here, he knew how bad he was, but there was nothing he could do. We were then back a 3rd time to emergency two days later on Friday and they finally admitted him. The ER dr. this night didn't even come in to see us. The nurse had my husband standing up trying to do knee lifts to check his oxygen level, he could barely stand up. We couldn't understand and still don't understand why they wouldn't help us, and it took 3 trips to ER to finally get help. COVID had been around for over 1 1/2 years, this shouldn't of happen. I tried to get an in-person meeting with someone higher up in the hospital other than the patient advocate person and they refused. They said the board reviewed our case and that we were given the proper care. No one should be treated like this; you shouldn't have to go to ER 3 times to get help. They billed our insurance thousands and thousands of dollars for one night in the hospital and they will not even meet with a concerned patient. We wanted them to know how it felt to try and get help and not get it, how would they feel if that was their child or spouse...... read more

My brother had an incident on his way to a boxing tournament in salt lake city & EMS transferred him over to the closest hospital. I wasn't in for the ER visit but my dad had nothing but good things to say about this hospital. We are from vegas & vegas does NOT have the best health care system. im saying that & i myself am in the medical field feeling embarrassed about how our system works. anyways, I got to cedar city a few hours after my brother was admitted. the nurses/cnas let me know what was going on right away. they were in and out of the room every 30 minutes or so with check ins and constant updates. im very appreciative. Justin is an amazing nurse! everyone was great but Justin did impact the whole stay in a positive way. Dr. Newman was my brothers doctor & he was VERY knowledgeable. We were transferred to the ICU and the stay just gets better. im so sad this hospital is so far from home but I do appreciate everyone and everything they did to help us. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Doctors, nurses, aides, everybody was not just kind and highly professional, they really touched my heart with their kindness.
