Stars have decreased. I just wanted to add a few details. Please see my previous Wells review for…read moreclarification. I found out from my lawyer that when a family member dies without leaving a will, the departed's estate pays for the funeral. That is law. The survivors each pay an even portion of the costs. a) If I had known that fact, I would have told my stepmother that we should investigate all local funeral homes first for price comparison. b) "Guy" (see previous review) did not make me aware of that simple fact when I met him. c) I would have questioned my stepmother's purchase of a ridiculously expensive urn right then and there. Um, why should I have to pay for tackiness?! d) I would have had input in my father's affairs. For instance, I am not a fan of viewings at all. (However, I am glad that I was able to get locks of hair and two buttons off of the pajamas that my dad was wearing at the viewing.) e) I still protest paying for a personal funeral with a business check, such as my stepmother did. If I had known the estate-paying deal, I would have told my stepmother to pay her portion of the down payment and to let I and my brother work out with Guy how we would pay our portion of the down payment. f) Since Guy knew that I and my brother are entities in my deceased father's estate, Guy broke the law when he did not give my brother and I equal portions of my father's ashes. We got small portions each, and not a full third as we should have. I now have to pay my lawyer to ask my stepmother's lawyer for our rightful share. As of this moment, my father's estate has fully paid the Wells bill, so Guy can't dispute anything. I paid for them and I should have them. Guy decided to be an immoral person and sided with a trashy sociopath. I wish I had sued Wells, or could forward part of my legal bill to them. One other fact- two positive reviews on Google for Wells were written by individuals that work indirectly with Wells. All is not well at Wells. Please, heed my warning.
