Larry spent a great deal of time and care connecting with my 14 yr old son before the session began, and another considerable amount of time afterward, familiarizing us with what to expect. I saw immediate improvement, which I expect will ebb and flow for a little while. We have the session taped, and he'll listen regularly. ** I find it funny how some people think it works like in the movies :-) I went about two years ago and just like other when I left I didn't feel any different, But the guy insisted I take a copy of the recording to listen to at night. I went back to give it another try a month later and the second time I saw a difference. So I started listening to the CD every night for 12 nights straight and all of a sudden after that 12 day listening to the CD's it stuck. I wanted to EXERCISE and was not motivated, I had to clean my desk at work, organize my home, address health challenges, etc. I knew I was stuck, my brother said " Larry Garrett can help you exercise" I made an appointment, arrived and was asked to watch this introduction video, which answered a lot of the most basic questions. Helpful ! Met Larry and declared that I wanted to exercise ! Hypnotize me. :) Well..........Larry being the professional that has 40+ years under his belt started a conversation with me to learn more about my desire to exercise and what else I would like to achieve, then up came the messy desk, the closet that needed to be addressed, the birthday cards I meant to mail, etc. After our visit together discussing my exercise wishes and learning about my other wishes, his lovely receptionist brought me into another room where I sat in a large comfy reclining lazy boy chair, placed head phones on my ears, covered me with a blanket, so I was super comfy and toasty. THEN, it started, Larrys calming voice comes through the wires and into the headphones and he starts talking and doing what he does best. Hypnotize. I fell asleep & that was ok. :). 3,2,1. I woke up and I bought a CD of the session to bring home so I could keep listening to it and made another appt. , I wasn't taking any chance of going backward. I left and felt very relaxed, no stress and did not really think to much about it surprisingly. Trusting the process I guess. 2 days later I am in line at the post office with packages that were sitting around waiting to be mailed. I took note of my efficiency. :) 4th & 5th day, I stayed late at work until 11pm to clean off my desk and reorganize it once and for all, with boundless energy. "IT" was working. No exercise yet, but I did not care, I continued to organize and not procrastinate, it was so exciting. I saw Larry again and then came the exercise component. ....and I was off to the races. In retrospect I think I had a hard time committing to exercise since I had all these other things I "should have" been doing, once they were out of the way, there was "no should I clean" or "should I exercise", and then wind up not doing either. That inner struggle was gone ! This was my 1st experience with Larry 10 years ago, I just had an appointment today and he is consistently the same smart, kind, compassionate person I met years ago, along with his entire staff. I have been going to see Larry Garrett for hypnotherapy for 25 years. I recently had an session with him on Saturday and I must say he never disappoints! Have gone to Larry 3 times over past ~18 years. I am a skeptical cynic in general but I was desperate to quit smoking. I kept an open mind which, IMO, is critical for hypnosis to work. Pro tip: throw away your preconceptions of what hypnosis is based on TV and movies. I walked out my first time and was blown away by the fact that I had no desire to smoke. Years later, in my early 30's, I was several pints of Guinness at a bar on St. Patrick's Day with a cardiologist friend. He smokes two packs a day! We were taking turns going up to the bar for drinks and he asked me to grab him a pack of Marlboros. No problem. Then he offered me a cigarette as he opened the pack. I said no thanks like I usually would. Then a couple sips into my (probably 10th) Guinness I thought "Wait, I just got offered a cigarette by a cardiologist! That's hilarious!" Yeah, what the heck. It's been years and I can't not take one of these. "Know what doc... on 2nd thought, gimme one of those!" I was immediately a smoker again. I let myself enjoy it for a month then got back in touch with Larry for a tune up. Walked out of our session smoke free and it's been years since. At 43 now I'm healthier than I was 20 years ago. I thought to write this today because I just referred probably my 3 dozenth friend to Larry and realized I'd never reviewed him on Yelp! Do yourself the favor and make the call. read more

The Garrett wellness center seemed like a lovely place although I had a very bad experience with one of the practitioners Chuck Fitzpatrick. I went to him for several years of body work and counseling. At some point I started seeing a different healer which caused Chuck to become disgruntled and possessive. When I stopped seeing him altogether he attacked the credibility of my new body worker and also attacked my character directly to the clients i sent to him. He also violated client patient confidentiality and shares what other patents are processing. If not forewarned, this could become quite traumatic for a person who thinks they are receiving authentic support and healing. read more
