The staff and Dr. James Fox took on the challenge of my procrastination with great humor, had me in and out of the office several times over the next week and a half for bleaching, two fillings, and a same day porcelain bridge created in-office to replace the missing tooth. The work was completed the day before I flew to Arizona for my reunion with the best smile I've had in years. The entire office went out of their way to accommodate my procrastination and give me a beautiful result. Last week I called with a swollen jaw from a broken tooth finally bothered me enough to be seen after putting THAT off for two or three months. Again, they got me in within a few days and repaired that tooth and another that was bothering me slightly. I told Dr. Jim that he's the best dentist I've ever gone to in my 63 years. He's kind, he's gentle, and he never tells me what a pain in the rear I am.

Not only will you be over paying for subpar service but you'll be waiting 2 hours to even begin your surgery. My appointment was at 8:30am. I did not get brought back until after 9:15am. Where I proceeded to sit and wait for another hour. My surgery did not start until after 10:45am. My surgery lasted approximately 30-45minutes (that includes giving time for me to wake up). Not only that but the tech who gave me the decadron via the IV line didn't see fit to mention any possible side affects that happen immediately btw, such as it would make your V to your B-hole feel like someone threw acid and fire ants down there. And they demanded payment up front and the front desk woman proceeded to give me nothing but attitude as I mentioned I'd have to go an grab my wallet from my mother who was in the lobby. So in conclusion I waited 2+ hours for a 30 minute surgery that I booked 3 weeks in advance so it wasn't some last minute appointment that they were trying to squeeze me in. After keeping my every six month cleanings, x-rays as ordered, & maintaining my teeth as I have…read morefor years. I had 2 crowns come of with decaying teeth underneath that had to be extracted. When I had a 3rd crown come off, I obtained an appointment with another local dentist only to learn that this tooth would have to be extracted. i set up a new patient appointment with the new dentist. Before I got to that appointment another crown came off with decay under it. I receive x-rays that clearly showed I had another tooth that had decay and would need extracted along with 6 teeth that would require crowns. This was now a total of 6 teeth needing crowns and a total of 4 extractions. I do not believe that 10 teeth suddenly decayed. I believe that this decay had been going on for years under the care of Cape Girardeau Dental Care.

The front desk personnel took the time to fully explain the costs involved of my treatment plan. During my next visit, Dr Pat Ruopp removed the tooth and I had absolutely no pain. Ruopp Family Dental not only have the experience and expertise to care for your teeth they also care about you. I highly recommend them .
