Months later, after no personal contact, we met to review prior to the court date. It was evident he was out-lawyered, and changed his demeanor with me. He was condescending and even asked me if I remembered my wedding vows. He's in my opinion a sexist, and not interested in fighting for his clients in divorce proceedings. I was often put off by his legal assistant who made excuses like "He has an emergency meeting with a client, or he ran to jail to talk to a client...hence I had no indication the extensive financial information I was providing was being given to the opposing attorney to build a case for alimony against me. When I was finally told that was happening, I obviously balked, and Chris replied "If you don't like it, fire me!" So of course I did.

Despite some good Google reviews, and claiming to be the #1 lawyer in upstate NY for traffic tickets and DUI, they never returned my calls (three of them), despite promising multiple times that the call would be returned before the end of the day. I was dumb enough to believe that and waited for many days, before going with another lawyer for help just in time. Apparently, being the "#1 attorney" means never returning client calls. If you enjoy playing phone tag with unresponsive lawyers while your court date looms, these are your people. Otherwise, you'll be better off finding someone who actually cares about helping their clients. Not only that I get the final straw in the mail in the form of the "statement " and somehow out of the $5k retainer we already paid and his services of 1hr in court and about 15 min over the phone another time arguing circumstantial crap that was literally about my daughter's inhaler and me stating (to him btw) that "i thought it was stupid, the doctors prescribe a steroid inhaler for my daughter" who had a chest cold that I can remember and maybe a wheeze but fine since for months. But they prescribed it daily for the foreseeable future! That's all an opinion to my lawyer yet that man charged me $800 to "research" that crap prescribed for daily use" among many other bs charges but somehow put of the $5k retainer and all that work he did, somehow I owe the turd like $2700!!
