When I went to check out, the lady behind the desk looked confused, told me one total, went to speak to another person, and then came back and told me a different amount owed. Fast forward three weeks later, I was still having a lot of pain in my right foot plus new onset swelling and pain in my left foot so I called to see if Dr. Rateif could see work me in earlier. I was thrilled when they worked me in first thing in the morning, the very next business day! When I hobbled in barely able to walk, a lady called me back and told me that there had been some kind of mix up and that Dr. Rateif was actually out of network on my insurance. I told her that I had checked with my insurance and was lead to believe that AFAA accepted my insurance and offered max savings to boot. I was informed that only ONE doctor in the practice accepted my insurance and he was not in the office. I could see Dr. Rateif that morning but would have to pay $200-$300 (and oh yeah "you have to pay out of network price for your last visit"). I hobbled right back out, cried in my car while wondering how I was going to make it through my 12 hour shifts that week (Answer: IM Toradol) and then drove home. TLDR: Dr Rateif was great but apparently not all of the doctors in the practice accept the same insurance. Do NOT take their word for it. If you do go see them, call your insurance and verify that the SPECIFIC doctor that you are going to see accepts it.

I have been under Dr. Reeves care for a few weeks due to ongoing plantar fasciitis issues and during my first visit he identified the cause, mapped out a plan, taught me a bit of self care and made things happen. In just a few short weeks I have seen notable improvement, which has been such a welcome experience! The treatment plan he mapped out is a multi-week plan and his staff was able to go ahead and get me on the books several weeks out so it was much easier to plan my schedule. More than 2 months later, it's still doing great! A few weeks ago Dr Reeves performed Bunion and hammertoe surgery on my left big tie and 2nd toe, and I'm completely amazed at how quickly I'm healing. I took heavy painkillers for the first 24 hours after surgery and then Tylenol the following 24 hours. In the 2 weeks since then, I have only taken Tylenol 4 or 5 times total, and that was usually a result of me overdoing what I was supposed to be doing. I walked 2 miles on 2 different days 2 weeks after surgery and I feel like I'm improving with each day. I've been extremely impressed with Dr. Reeves and I recommend him highly for any foot and ankle issues.
