Our boys started in Pre-K and 2nd grade ... currently they are in 8th and 11th grade. The personal relationships our boys have established with the Brook Hill family is beyond caring, supportive, and amazing! Come take a tour and see for yourself how amazing our campus is and see if it is the right fit for your family.

I shall opine: Our son attended Brookhill from Pre-K, through First grade. As mentioned- the Teachers are phenomenal, but what the school administrators exude, can be downright nauseating. Brookhill is a Christ based school, and teaches outside of the normal "public" school guidelines. This, we appreciate, and respect- but, what we didn't like is the following: 1. "Certain" parents seem to get an obnoxious amount of special treatment. When a particularly well known family has a private parking space, and Teachers personally walk their children out to a certain Mercedes SUV, this is (in my opinion) sending the wrong message to other children. Not to mention- it doesn't seem Godlike... 2. The constant begging for additional money. Seriously, this is nonstop, and they even solicit the grandparents. Listen- I spent approximately $10K a year to send my son to your school; I really don't need to donate additional funds. Hit up the Mercedes mom! 3. The School Functions should focus on the children, but it seems more like an opportunity for the parents to exude their pretentious, and obnoxious demeanors. Sans Teachers, this seems to be a normal environment at Brookhill. Great Teachers, but unfortunately, I can't offer many positives on the Brookhill Admin, or the parents. If you're an aspiring Tylerite, Brookhill will be your new social club.

There's not a lot to do and it's not a big campus. The buildings are a little run down as well. So why the glowing review?? The people. Carthage, TX and more so Panola College is home to some of the most amazing folks you will ever meet. I left the busyness of Houston to move to East Texas because Panola offered me a scholarship and hope for an education when others didn't. It's here under the tutelage of folks like Larry Brumley that I truly blossomed as a person and student. I went from A's and B's to a 4.0 and was in leadership in every organization from Choir to College Republicans to the Baptist Student Union. The folks at Panola truly care and realize their students aren't merely a number or a way for more government funding, but are our future. They made the investment in me and prepared me not just for the transfer to a 4 year university, but also for life as a man, husband, employer and friend. Some 15 years later, many of my dearest and closest friends originate from my experience at Panola. Yes, I went to a nationally ranked 5A High school before and a strong University after, but it was those years at Panola and friendships formed there that have made the biggest impact. To put it best, I must quote my beloved professor Mr. Larry Brumley who once told me, "My job is not merely to teach you music, but to teach you to be a man." Thank you Panola College. Your legacy continues!

The esthetic instructor, Jessica Quintana, affectionately known as "Teach," was not only well-versed and experienced in skincare but also a dedicated mentor who sincerely cared about each student's success. Both Courtney and Jessica ensured that every student excelled in mastering both fundamental and advanced techniques, covering everything from facials and chemical peels to waxing and skin analysis. The Milady curriculum was practical and thorough, combining theoretical knowledge with ample hands-on experience. The spa facilities were clean, modern, and equipped with industry-standard tools and products, which boosted my confidence to launch my own business right after graduation. In addition to developing technical skills, the program placed a strong emphasis on client communication, professionalism, and business ethics--essential elements that have helped me forge strong relationships with my clients and establish a fruitful career. I graduated not only with an esthetician license (achieving all A's) but also with a genuine passion for skincare and a clear sense of purpose in my profession. If you're seeking a program that provides thorough preparation and fuels your enthusiasm for esthetics, I highly recommend Allure Academy. The owner Kiesha King is a visionary with a heart of gold .
