I had a knee replacement about 2 yrs ago. It really never felt great and over this past year I slowly lost my flexion. I am writing this review with my sleeping baby on my lap, something I physically could not have done yesterday. As a nursing mom of an infant, I woke up yesterday morning completely helpless in a great amount of pain. I had pulled my back from carrying my baby and nursing many times during the day and night. Dr. Olson was able to fit me in the same day. I was not able to drive, lift my arms above my head, turn my neck, and couldn't even walk without pain, let alone take care of my 6 month old. I was seen right away at the office and was treated on a special table which moved side to side, gently stretching my back and spine. Dr. Olson used stimulation on my back and then worked out my shoulders and neck (Called ART). In less than a half hour, my pain went from a 9 to maybe a 3. I was able to push myself up off the table unassisted where I needed help just walking in moments before. It truly was unbelievable how much better I felt walking out than I had walking in. I'm one of those people that rarely writes reviews unless something really stands out. Dr. Olson's office did. After nearly 6 months of debilitating pain from a car accident, and being through the gamut with other treatments with little to no improvement, after seeing the exemplary reviews written about his practice, I decided to give his office a try. After my very first visit with Dr. Olson and Dr. Sudberg, Pain Management under the same roof, I felt remarkedledly and surprisingly better. It was my first bit of hope at a very bleak time. Dr. Sudberg is very knowledgeable when it comes to the precise placement of injections, and the different kinds, including Sarapin, and Dr. Olson is a true master of his craft. He doesn't just "adjust" the spine; he engages in ART - Active Release Technique, which has proven extremely effective in getting to the root of the problem of adhesions and scar tissue. I have had a bad back since high school. A few times a year my back "goes out" in varying degrees. Sometimes it's from overdoing it with exercise or karate or an ill timed sneeze. Dr. Olson is an amazing doctor and a wonderful person. I was told I needed surgery asap on my neck due to several herniations and two pinched nerves on each side of my neck causing searing burning numbing pain up and down my arms. The pain was so severe it would wake me up all night long. After trying epidural injections and prescription medication, I found Dr. Olson through a mutual acquaintance who had issues with her neck, and she works as a health care professional All I can say is the pain is totally gone, and I'm feeling so much better. I'm still dealing with some numbness, but Dr. Olson will persevere. Where do I even start... I'm beyond happy. Having a back injury preventing you from doing crossfit was a complete nightmare. Went to 5 docs looking for answers. I started going to Dr. Olson's office because he has a speciality in scoliosis along with a number of other treatment fields. He is very knowledgable and easy to talk to about your concerns. Dr. Olson will example what he is doing and why it will be beneficial to your condition. I have been going to him for a little over 2 months now for my back, shoulder and sciatica pain. He has shown me differently stretches and techniques to help alleviate the pain. He has a great team of PT's, PA's and staff that are all friendly. I Found Dr Gary while searching for DR's trained in ART "Active Release Techniques" made an inquiry and on the next business day he called personally. A told him a bit about my issues. He said he could help and needed all the info I had. I scheduled an appointment. The first appointment was long. He went through all the reports and all the film I had. He then explained about ART and how is was going to help me. We began therapy. Like most people, I met my Chiropractor while in crisis. When in pain, everything about the experience is tough. I'll say this... the staff was friendly, the location is convenient to get to, as was the building, and Dr. Gary was welcoming. What else is needed? Well, skill sure comes into play! Within just a few sessions I was feeling much better. He is a big user of TENS technology (the thing that puts gentle electrical pulses into your muscles) and he even arranged me to get my very own TENS unit under my insurance policy. I have a herniated disc from years ago that started causing sciatica and related issues. After 3 weeks of minimal improvement I went to Dr. Olson. I have used chiropractors before but never ART chiro. After one treatment my pain was significantly reduced. The pain had been disrupting my sleep and i slept 8 hours after treatment.
