I first met her when she was at Super Cuts on university avenue... then when she left for some hipster barber shop on the east side, I followed her. Always knew she should be running her own show, so I was really happy when she got a spot of her own. The suite is one of many at Sola Salon. The place is a brilliant concept... there are independent massage therapists, nail salons, and other spa services that complement each other all under one roof. The co-owner/stylist (Sara) of the salon even opened her salon after hours to tone down the original highlights as it was just too much for me....this had nothing to do with her work. She did exactly what I had asked for. Her prices are very low right now and she evens specializes in mens cuts. I will be bringing my boyfriend here. The salon is very shabby-chic and there is a great Mexican restaurant next door. Sara has a great work ethic and I would encourage anyone to stop in and visit her if you are looking for a quality service at an affordable price.
