I recently received a "final bill" notice out of the blue. We have always paid for our cylinders after they're swapped out. We haven't done that in several years. I was told we were sent a notice about the end of our account with them THREE YEARS AGO! Short version: had to create a new account. They insisted I had to have new cylinders, even though the ones we currently have aren't empty. That was supposed to be yesterday morning. No one came and no notification. Got a call this morning saying they need some information about delivering them this afternoon. Have tried 4 times to call back only to end up on hold and eventually disconnected. They deserve "0" stars! Horrible customer service with every call to them handled first offshore. Ask for a supervisor and it's at least 30minutes on hold. After 6 years of ridiculous pricing and never ending accessorial charges I had their tank pumped and moved to an easy access spot for quick pickup. Their facility is 2 miles away and the actual pickup took less than 30 minutes. Then I get a bill for $419.98 for the pickup of their equipment. No warning, no notice and no advice when I called to cancel service just an unexpected ridiculous bill. Stay away from this company and any other of their companies read more

beware of AmeriGas they are frauds. They are really vague in their paperwork contracts customer service is ridiculous. If you need to talk to somebody about a problem, it's a three hour wait and most of the time they have no way of helping you because they are too incompetent and don't speak English. I rent a property and when I moved in there was an AmeriGas tank in my yard I called them up and set up service. They locked me in at $2.04 a gallon halfway through my service. My price jumped up to $3.80 a gallon, I had no choice but to switch companies once I switched companies they sent me a bill for $420 to pick up the tank even though it was already in my yard when I moved here. Two years ago halfway through the winter they lost my account and I could not get a tank filled because they could not verify that I had equipment. Since it was in the middle of winter, nobody would start service until the spring, so I was stuck, carrying 100 pound cylinders from the grocery store every week back to my house. In July they text me saying they finally fixed my account almost 6 months later they fix my counter right because they double the price. Even the delivery drivers are embarrassed to work for AmeriGas! My delivery driver was so embarrassed said they were a good company until they were bought out overseas. The customer service representatives. Have names like Steve George. Henry but can't seem to speak English. This company has been an absolute nightmare and once I finally got rid of them, they slap me in the face with a $420 pick up fee to pick the tank up. Now I use northern star co-op and I deal with customer service that speak English and answer the phone right away. I have not even been put on hold I called and they answer and they bring me my gas within three days AmeriGas is a absolute joke. I cannot stress enough do not bother with these jokers. read more

Gas Service Company was great until bought out by Amerigas. I have since been overcharged by $500+ and have 5 hours of my time invested in trying to resolve by phone and letter. I work internationally and still can not understand Amerigas' call center team. There is nothing American about Amerigas!! Worse than AOL of the 1990's!! Call the other local propane companies and when a live person answers, you found the right propane supplier. Many good ones left in Walker. read more

Do NOT do business with Gas SVC / Amerigas out of walker. They are unethical. If you need gas delivered during the week, and you didnt prebuy during the summer, they will try to gouge you for $ 2.40 /gal when the average in the area is $ 1.36. They tell you that is the rate in the area, but all around, NOBODY is charging that.... They will offer you a good initial price to lock you in with their tank, then rob you blind.
