Upon entering the room, expecting a "sea view," we are looking at the side of another building. Very disappointing interactions thus far. Despite the human interactions and misleading "sea view" price pitch; the room is clean and has "apartment" amenities (refrigerator, single unit washer/dryer) which increased the star rating from "1" to "2." Update: Day 2: we spoke with a very nice woman named Mar who switched our room to an actual sea view and also provided us with many great tips about local sites. Sadly, the room we moved into did not have hot/warm water in the shower (the water is freezing cold actually, perfectly fine in the sink). The employee on duty (2200) was very kind, and tried to be helpful, but could not fix the problem. She told us someone would be here to fix it promptly at 0900. It's now past 1000 and we have not heard from anyone. The shower was not fixed until noon. I wanted to love this place, especially after speaking with Mar; however, my experience has been sub-par at best. Reducing the rating to "1 star." Don't get me started on the annoying keys and how you have to plug the key into the wall to turn on electricity, and remove it to leave, therefore it turns off all the electricity to items you were trying to charge. It's already a bit expensive, it's not worth the hassle, just go to a hotel.

Alex checked us in and was more than accommodating in quickly getting this done for us. We headed up to our room and opened the door to someone sitting on the bed of the room we were supposed to stay in. We were clearly embarrassed, confused, and exhausted so we headed back downstairs to retrieve a different room. We were placed in the floor above and Alex apologized greatly. We didn't mind as long as we could get settled soon after. We entered the room and it was small and not really well lit. As I stated, there were no exterior windows - which was a little sad lol. Whatever, we decided to look past that and enjoy our experience in the city. The bed was comfortable and the amenities in the hotel were great, too. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was extremely kind. We utilized the rooftop bar area several times, which was awesome too! Just a heads up there were thin sliced hard boiled eggs on the sandwich which may be a Spanish thing because we had another sandwich on the beach and it was served the same way.
