Griesbrau has a brewery-restaurant that has a ton of bavarian atmosphere. Their weiss bier is excellent and they serve traditional bavarian cuisine done well! The location is nice as it is at the north end of downtown Murnau and about a half mile from the train station...very convenient. If or when we return to Murnau...we will definitely be staying at Griesbrau!

The service is friendly and the beer is excellent (not surprisingly!). The prices are ridiculously low for what you get I reckon. A great place to stop by for a drink when going to the movies (the cinema is in the same building) or for a casual Lunch or Dinner. Lots of healthy options on the menu, too. If you want really comfy seats, a good view and a good spot for a conversation, walk all the way to the back and turn right...you will see what I mean (I hope :))
