We ordered the bavarian veal sausage with fresh pretzel and sweet mustard, the fraconian grilled sausages with homemade sauerkraut, and the black lentil salad with celery. When I say every single thing I ate was perfection......I mean it. It fulfilled my dreams of eating actual German food in Germany! I have already searched AI and Pinterest for a dupe of that salad. The restaurant is very small and quaint. It is definitely a spot for locals that we were fortunate enough to have been led to. It is the German equivalent of a tapas bar. After some deliberation, we turned the menus back over to our hostess (who I also believe was a co-owner of the restaurant) and simply asked if they would bring out a couple of each item on the sampler menu and a few of the five or six main entrées that we wanted to try. That begin about an hour of culinary experience not to be forgotten. There is no better way to experience German cuisine! Each of the menu items was wonderful and different and it's own unique way. We tried six or seven different types of sausage a variety of pickled vegetables, regional cheeses and other delicacies all served with a variety of great homemade bread.
