The server, a tall woman with bland hair, was extremely rude, ignoring my question when there were only two guests behind me and one had already ordered. I politely tried to clarify again, and she rudely responded, "What do you want?!" I paid for the small cup, gave it to a friend, and went back to order a larger size coffee. She pointed to the cup that had been made, saying that was the large size. I ended up with the same cup, but it had chocolate on top, while the cup she pointed to earlier did not. I told her that I can't have chocolate. She became offensive, saying, "Oh my god, you're super complicated," even though there was no one else in line. She then loudly complained in German to another lady at the cashier. I understand that the culture is different here, but the staff just don't qualify for the food and health industry because they don't understand allergies, which can cause serious medical issues for visitors. Flies were also all over the foods and juices. Good thing is that the coffee was really good for that one star review.

The restaurant is cafeteria style. The food actually is pretty good quality and delicious. I got the goulash with a bread dumpling for dinner on the way back to Vienna. It was quite tasty! My hubby got a salad and vegetarian chili. All in all, dinner was about 55 euro. A bit expensive for a rest stop, but it's a rest stop so there aren't other dining choices. P.S. the apple strudel and coffee were on the way to Salzburg.

Kleine feine Karte die viel erwarten liess, geliefert wurde qualitativ etwas unter Supermarkt-Tiefkühlkost. Der Wunsch nach einem einfachen Pasta-Gericht für meine achtjährige Tochter wurde gerne aufgenommen. Was kam, waren harte Eierbandnudeln mit Käse "al dentiste" - in der Mikrowelle inkorrekt aufgewärmt. Sie weigerte sich und aß die Mikroportion Preiselbeeren meines Wildragouts (war OK). Das Wildragout bestand aus trockenen geschmacksneutralen Faserstücken in einer dicken überwürzten Sauce die alles verschwinden ließ. Das hungrige Kind bekam dann eine Eispalatschinke. War In Ordnung. Die Melange war wässrig, der Milchschaum mit der für österreichische Lokale ohne Kaffeekompetenz typischen Abwaschwasserkonsistenz. Laut Auskunft eines örtlichen Experten gibt es sehr gute Lokale am Hauptplatz. Also kein Grund die Orangerie zu frequentieren.
