worst service ever from the owner's wife/partner.we asked how far the two other plates for a party of 6 were and the lady just went off, even telling us to not pay(so she could say we dodged a bill!!).woman was rude for no reason to the point where it started sounding very racist. would avoid at all costs, might open late but not worth the disrespect. the husband and waiter on the one hand were courteous so may be worthwhile for her to just be behind the scene read more

My wife and I noticed the Stroganoff special sign out front and headed upstairs to the stylish second floor non-smoking restaurant. The first floor has a quant more local bar crowd. Our meal was the best we had in Switzerland, and we were hosted by owner Simon Everett a Brit who clearly is an ace in the restaurant game. The venison Stroganoff dazzled my wife with its strong but controlled flavor and my Veal Shnitzel was what I dream of back home. Simon claimed nine vegetables would accompany the schnitzel but it turned out there were eleven! Incredible!! The chef, only known as "Rainman" due to an uncanny ability to know exactly what customers like surprised us post meal with some small home made treats. The Great Gasthaus Sonne, bravo! read more

I happened upon the gorgeous Gasthaus Sonne on a charming walk through downtown Klosters. The first memorable moment was being personally greeted by owner Simon Everitt, a Brit who's family has been visiting Klosters for 30 years. Simon was a wealth of knowledge on the local scene and is a must-meet. Our meal was absolutely fantastic. Amazing wine selection and the menu is an all-star cast. The Venison stroganoff is to die for, and my salad was as fresh as if it were still in the ground that morning! My husband had the best Veal Schnitzel of his life and he has had plenty. Please leave room for dessert as the selection of ice cream liquor combo's is truly world class. Bravo to Gasthaus Sonne and the fabulous staff. read more
