So let's check the boxes for the review: Service: - first impression was that there is a problem in communication between the owner and the ppl working there. We had a reservation, but since the final check was via phone it seemed they didn't get the name right. So my gf was first there and she told them the reservation on my name, they couldn't find it and I stead of helping they showed her the door. That's a no go. So I stormed in when I arrived and clarified it also with phone logs. So that wasn't a good start. - the restaurant was full and clearly they couldn't keep up with getting orders, serving drinks, serving food and cleaning. Let's say everything took more time than expected. I understand that maybe one more waiter is not in the budget but still they should read the room and see who waits how long. - when more friends arrived they were asked if they would eat something, but in a way that suggests them that it wouldn't be welcome if they want, they still did. Now to the interesting part, the thing we all go into restaurants. Food: - the meat was really good. They didn't really hit the desired cook level but still top meat and quite authentic (as much as you can replicate it here) - the dessert also way better than expected. And we were able to try something new they are trying. Amazing. - it wasn't out of this world but still one of the best in the price range. On the other hand: - the house wine was OK to drink, but that's kinda it. I mean sure they have other good wine but house wine shouldn't be the cheapest, it represents the restaurant. - we also found pisco sour, and as peruvian "experts" we were excited to try. What they gave us was so far from what it should be, a big disappointment. So in the end, yes go for the food, but the experience needs to be improved drastically.

The fried prawns were great and I really liked the cilantro sauce it came with, definitely the highlight of the meal. As for the draft beer, it was just okay. Nothing memorable. Overall, it wouldn't be my first choice for dining out nor would I recommend it.

We had folks from various locations flock over to Frankfurt. We knew one another from various collaborations. As an example, my colleague from Piscataway had hosted a training session for our writing tool the previous year. That trip alone bonded us, along with two folks from Frankfurt. We also had colleagues from India, China, and Sweden with us. We all met by the train station close to work and took the bus to the restaurant. It was a decent ride, although it wasn't too long. I liked how high the ceiling is at the restaurant. We walked in and took a table for twelve of us. I got along well with the manager of Frankfurt's writing team. She was kind to break down the menu to us. She highly recommended the spatzle, which is yummy, buttery pasta. My dish came with slow-cooked beef in a rich wine sauce. This dish was heavenly! I loved it so much. The spatzle was indeed buttery and tasty. The beef was so tender that you didn't really need to cut it with a knife, but I did to be polite. Nothing was left! I also had a stein of local beer. It was smooth and good. It was an excellent night chatting with colleagues and unwinding. It was a wonderful restaurant suggestion. Mine was BELLA and my hubby's was nothing to stick your nose up to. They were homemade; they were FRESH; and they were meant to be eaten slowly. Admire that fork full of delicious pasta and cry inside quietly; this is some of the BEST pasta I've ever had outside of the USA.
