But once you've acknowledged that, you can turn your attention to why so many Ansbach locals have been coming back here year after year: the food. And the beer garden. Especially the beer garden. In the summer, the Mohren's beer garden is roughly what a watering hole in the savanna is to migrating herds of animals. Eventually, they all end up here. Families, regulars' tables, cyclists, people winding down after work, folks who meant to stay "just for a drink" and are still sitting there three hours later. The servers often have an astonishing amount on their plates. Sometimes it seems as though they have to coordinate twenty tables, three special requests, and a spontaneous mass migration all at once. Not fancied up, not chasing trends, but simply a place where good Franconian food, a proper beer garden, and many satisfied guests have been reliably coming together for years. If Ansbach had an official after-work hub, it would probably be right here.

First German schnitzel did not disappoint. If I lived here I would definitely be a regular. Service…read morewas good and the restaurant had a very laid back vibe.
