My favorite stop-over whenever in the region. Family run and cozy restaurant and hotel. The restaurant brings local food to the menu, like wonderful fresh fish dishes (local sweet water fish - yum!), traditional bavarian cuisine and very good beer and wine selection. Main room can be a bit busy and noisy, but thats just the good atmosphere in bavarian restaurants! If you need a bit more quiet atmosphere like for a business meeting or so... just tell them in advance.... they have options... ... ok, I am not a lover of hard liquor stuff (except all kinds of whiskey! he he....) but they do have excellent fruit distilled liquors (like from pear, plum, mirabelle.... verrrrrrrry nice! A bit challenging: the parking situation... watch out for the traffic/parking signs... and the cops in Beilngries are pretty good in bringing back cash to the the treasurer of the city! From the A9 highway (the one that connects Munich and Nürnberg - its almost half way) just around 15 minutes taking the exit Beilngries. read more
