Great living space and bedrooms with timber finishes, new plasma TV (with HDMI input), fast WiFi, quality kitchen appliances and the bedrooms had very comfortable beds. We stayed as a large group across multiple cabins for a few weeks and the staff were very accommodating, with a great welcome basket on arrival, and good laundry service throughout the trip. Paths were promptly cleared of snow after snowfall. The check-in/office also has a number of grocery items and alcohol for purchase at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location provides easy access by car to any of the surrounding ski resorts, and there is ample parking near the cabins. Recommended for families or any group really. Would definitely stay again. THE DUBIOUS: the place looks and feels a bit more like a cross between an historical landmark and a tourist trap, than a vibrant restaurant; had a tour group come by and stand right by my table as the tour guide gave her spiel, then the group moved on; the mixed sampler plate is listed as costing 9 Euro - - it came with a basket of bread which I didn't touch, so maybe the spoonful of kraut and/or the mustard cost extra, but the bill came to 13,50e - - and basically, the plate was more like a bar snack than a meal, albeit a world class bar snack. I'm glad I had it, but the place kind of feels like a sucker joint.
