Now I…read morecan't review the school itself since I am way past middle school age... but I come here often to use the school's track. Usually in the mornings. There are other fitness groups that use the track F3 and other running groups, but usually everyone is pretty nice (especially at 5am). The track itself is not lit (lighted), but the streetlights from Runnymede give you enough ambient light to run on the track early on. Just try not to wear all black - unless you are going for a ninja look or trying to scare someone. Aside from the track - there are plenty of parking spaces and access to the fields. A lot of times I see the F3 guys rolling around in the grass, or doing suicide runs on the basketball courts. I'm just happy I actually got out of bed at that hour to run.

Please, for the love of God never send anyone that you do not wish this upon to go to I know three other people that this has happened of us were allowed to speak out about it and none of our families would let or stand up for ourselves. The other thing is the bulling problem is BAD!!!! And the teachers and principals will act like they care but then just send both the students to detention even the one that is being bullied. A bunch of rednecks and pot smokers go here even some of the teachers. Definitely wouldn't recommend this school for kids that are apart of the LGBTQ community or are different because they will have a hard time...but all in all not the worst school to go too some teachers are really good! The curriculum is more advanced than our experience at CMS, and our kids are encouraged to challenge themselves while being fully supported. They actually enjoy going to school, which says a lot. When our son needed help with reading, he received in-school and after-school tutoring at no cost. Teachers are communicative, with weekly check-ins and extra updates. Every teacher we've had has gone above and beyond. The admin team is engaged and present at drop off and pick up daily. BCCA goes beyond academics with events that build confidence, character, and community. We're so grateful to be part of this diverse, supportive school. Highly recommend.

I was invited to Northside Christian Academy to speak about being a first responder in NY during…read more9/11. When I arrived I was greeted by very friendly teachers and staff that welcomed me with open arms and directed me to Mrs. Phillips one of the head administrator. She gave me a tour of the academy then escorted to a state of the art auditorium to prepare for my presentation. The Tech team was hands on with the equipment and slides I needed for my presentation and the students were delightful and very attentive. I found NSCA to be a great school with lots of potential. There were a few takeaways from my visit at Northside Christian Academy: the school immaculately clean and well maintained, the students were well behaved and the faculty and staff were kind, warm and inviting. The campus is huge and they offer lots of options for students to be successful well beyond graduation but also life.

We could not wear flip-flops, and on Fridays when we had casual day, we had to adhere to very strict clothing policies and if we violated them, our parents would be called and they would have to bring a change of clothes for us. If you're looking for a Christian-based school in which your children will be taught Christian principles, this is the ideal place for you. We had Bible study every day as a class and we attend a chapel once a week. I did feel that NCA had prepared me adequately for my next level of education. AP classes were offered for more advanced students. Administration, staff, and teachers always addressed and handled issues To the best of their ability.

We live about 35 minutes away and are happy with our church, which is closer to home. We knew the church was nice and really enjoyed the services, but we were still very impressed when we came back to tour the GCA side of the church campus. The facilities are new, well maintained, and very clean. The entire staff, from the teachers to the front office, were friendly, kind, and even caring. They definitely helped set a solid foundation for her. I cannot say enough about the job that both teachers did to help with the development of her social skills and character. We would have kept her there for elementary, but the hours and commute were not conducive to my work schedule. I would highly recommend looking into GCA if you are considering preschool or private school in the Lake Norman area.
