The next room to the right was half full, that is where we ended up having dinner. The room beyond that was empty. Waitress was good natured and after testing the communication channels with German switch to English and brought us a corresponding menu. Food was very nicely prepared. We later discovered that the kitchen closed at 10pm, so we missed out on dessert. We appeared to be the last to leave when they were closing up around 11pm. Everyone said goodbye. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area for the food, atmosphere, and wait staff.

The beer garden is self-service, which works incredibly well given the huge crowds they serve. Even on a weeknight, it was packed, but the service moved quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for from a Munich biergarten--lively, relaxed, and filled with locals. Its location away from the main tourist areas gives it a more authentic feel. A great spot for Bavarian food, beer, and a lively local beer garden experience.
