We started with soup and a small appetizer, then tried a few different mains. The pork was hearty and comforting, and the baked potatoes topped with shrimp and a creamy herb sauce were surprisingly good and much lighter than I expected. Everything felt rustic, homemade, and very fitting for the setting.
We finished with a mixed dessert plate with ice cream, chocolate, fruit, and cream.
The food was very good, but the atmosphere is what really makes Zur Höll special. If you're spending time in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, this is exactly the kind of place that makes the town feel even more memorable.
