The restaurant is part of a hotel which has a prime waterfront location in Prien, close to the ferry terminal and the railway station for the narrow gauge Chiemseebahn which runs the mile to Prien DB station. Many of the tables have great waterside views over the lake. We chose Wiener Schnitzel, and käsespätzle (German gnocchi with a cheese sauce) and fried onions, with a side salad; and local wheat beer to drink. The food was ok, but quantity ruled rather than quality (my partner had two schnitzel). The fried onions were the type you buy ready-made, and crunchy but pretty tasteless. It would have been four stars but service was pretty slow (the staff kept disappearing, and didn't even bother offering dessert) and despite a bill of €40 they would not accept credit cards - hard to believe in a hotel.

I went to this place on a tour where I was in a hurry with some friends. I ordered a bruschetta and…read moremy friends ordered pasta. It took an hour for them to finally come over and apologize for forgetting to put in our order. We had to pay $30 for the waters and one soda we got. Needless to say I was incredibly disappointed and do not recommend this place to anyone if you are in a hurry. Maybe the food was good though, I wouldn't know.

Very good service! The breakfast was very nice and delicious both for children and adults. The beds…read more(even the sleeping sofas) were good and very comfortable to sleep in. The views were incredible and the staff was really good to guide you to the best restaurants and tourist attractions in town. The only thing that was missing was a nice warm pool to go in after a long hike! All in all it was an incredible trip that I'll definitely won't forget.
