Our weekly Stammtisch in the garden, 13 of us drinking different beers, wine, whiskey, or non-alcoholic. The selection of food was great. A fusion of Asian and German. Hard to choose what is going to be your meal. I had a summer veggie roll, lightly fried with lots of veggies inside and delicious and perfect for an appetizer. Then the very helpful server suggested a half portion for my Hornle with veggies and coconut milk sauce. It had a bowl of rice on the side, but potatoes and rice seem to be a little bit too much carb for me. The Hornle are small Bamberg potatoes and were very good. I also liked the fact that the meal remained hot the entire time I ate it which meant I never had to worry about eating fast. I also had a wine spritzer which was very tasty with a nice fruit flavor, and light on the alcohol, tho I ended up with a tipsy feeling despite the meal. I also tried the Raucher beer, and it was actually good, a type of sweet or heavy chocolate-like taste, and while it wasn't something I would like to drink an entire flask, the small glass size was good. I actually only had a taste of a friend's and he liked it as well. They also had a large selection of whisky, which one of the whiskey drinkers really liked. The fusion was enjoyed by all, tho the veggie with pineapples choice was a little sour according to one diner, but otherwise the meal was really enjoyed. read more
