I had bought a used pop up camper this Fall and it had no keys with it. I called Gatekeeper and they told me to come on over, which I did the next day. They took the lock off the door, gave me back the door and off I went. I knew they had to be gone for the next 3 days so on Monday they called and said the keys were ready. I picked them up and the cost was only $20.50. They did an excellent job and I am very happy. I will definitely use them any time I need a lock smith. I highly recommend them. read more

Called and spoke with Sharon and asked if she could help get a rental guest in to our condo. The handle lock was old and likely worn down. Sharon was very helpful and friendly and understood my need for speed. Within an hour, Ryan arrived, replaced the handle assembly and was on his way. Reasonable rates, especially for fast service. I personally don't recommend this company at all. There was one time that I ordered the service, but then I cancelled the service in 10 minutes via a phone call. However, the company still charged me 100 dollars and said that as soon as the technician left their house, I need to pay full amount no matter what. So, basically this company is charging me 100 dollars for nothing. Of course, they do not have "cancelling" option whatsoever. I guess they think we as customers don't have many choices in terms of having locksmith service in upper valley, so they don't give their customer a right to cancel a service which no one even showed up for. I was going to have my lawyer handle this matter, but it would be another hassle to try to save 100 dollars. I argued with them and asked them to show me the term of service where the price and cancelling terms should be listed. After about 10 days, they gave me a one-page PDF file with few sentences on it indicating I should be paying no matter what. I highly doubted this file was even existed when I ordered the service, but I guess I cant verify that unless I go full legal procedure. In all, I am wasting my 100 dollars for a phone call. I think this story needs to be shared and I don't recommend this company to anyone. read more

I called Gatekeeper when I was locked out of my home. It was after hours (around 8pm). They came within an hour or so - which was good - but then proceeded to spend another hour trying and failing to unlock my door. I was only able to access my home after a friend came through with a spare key. The story would end here, but Gatekeeper required full payment for a service that they were unable to provide. If the plow service could not get up my road after a storm, I would not expect a bill in the mail from them. Gatekeeper was not receptive when I asked whether they thought $100 was a fair price to pay for a service that was not provided. I would have gladly paid 1/2 price or similar -- it costs time and money to send someone -- but this is a very disappointing policy that makes little sense on the service side of the business. read more
