We were referred to this daycare by my wife's doctor, and after the initial visit knew it would be where our son would be going. This is our first kid and he started daycare at ten weeks. The staff made us feel right at home, and we weren't nervous leaving him here at all. This is only his second week, but so far, we love it. The woman who takes him in the morning is so good with him, and she is genuinely excited to see our baby in the morning. I always feel really good after leaving him there. Then in the afternoon, when I come to pick him up, the ladies give me good feedback, they keep good track of when he slept, ate and went to the bathroom. He's always clean and in the same outfit I packed, so I think they're way better at burping him then me! People already know me by name. The other parents seem very friendly and happy with the daycare as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know the parents and to watch our kid's relationships develop as they grow up together! read more

It took a long time to write this review, but it's important to share our experience. We had to pull our children from Gateway last year due to lack of communication, parent involvement and most damaging, the amount of trauma and shame my older child would come home with. I know there's always going to be "bad" reviews for every daycare you research, but please reconsider this place if you have a highly-sensitive, strong-willed or neurodivergent child. You will receive incident reports everyday for things like your child saying "poop," running in the halls or being loud. Even if the incidents are more serious, the only communication you will have is a shameful note and no chance to repair or work on what's going on. My husband and I would have to practically beg for a meeting or a chance to talk with the director. We were never allowed to talk with my child's direct teachers. There is no sense of teamwork to help your child succeed. Now that my child is older and thriving in Kindergarten he is finally opening up about Gateway and what it was like. His stories make me want to cry. He would cry everyday going to Gateway and I tried my best to keep a positive mindset, but knew there was something more to his behavior. Now, he wakes up and enjoys going to school. There are some wonderful teachers there, but they're stuck under the hard-pressed thumb of management. My only regret is not pulling my children sooner. read more

Dear Lynn, Your decision to not allow Elijah to continue at your establishment was a shock. I am very disappointed in the communication that came from Gateway regarding the issues Elijah had. When there is no interaction between the teachers and the parents to help children thrive in this difficult world its extremely disappointing. With regard to the sheet of paper, there was never any context to the situation; to the point I asked Ms. Kelly if this was normal or something we should be concerned about?. She informed me it was normal kid behavior. When did that change? Why weren't we informed? Where was the parent and child conference. Where was the warning of a potential expulsion? I really believe you guys need to revisit was your doing the separation you have created between student parent and teacher is exceptional. Further more how were we to ever know whats going on in the class room we weren't allowed in there anymore. Lastly, Regarding you muzzling my child for a "spitting" incident is extremely unprofessional. You made the mask a punishment how dare you do that to my child. With regards to the remarks you left my wife about our family finding what we needed. Yes we have and Elijah is actually thrilled to go to school now. All in all this turned out to be a blessing. I took 2 weeks off work and, again thanks for that, and Elijah was nothing but a caring loving child. I had no spitting incidents or hitting with other children. We have been attending gateway for almost 3 years. We were thrilled when our friends referred us to gateway. The school is safe, secure, and clean. We appreciate the monthly calender with activities and events. The lunch menu is super helpful! (Don't wear white on sloppy joe day). Cost includes snacks, lunch, diapers, and wipes . The staff helped tremendously with potty training and our son was toilet trained at 3. The office staff is welcoming and offer a keurig coffee machine for parents use. The teachers provide a written note to share activities, everything from silly and fun moments to learning and development. (more frequent at age 6months-2 yrs). Our son loves the daily snack on the way out. (They individually wrap graham crackers for the ride home) We really enjoy the special events that encourage parent engagement. (Field trips, luncheons, parties, mother tea, fathers day, and more) We highly recommend! read more

Love this place!!! We have been taking our baby girl to this daycare for over 4 months now. Everyone there is happy, helpful, and professional. Before COVID-19, I was glad to be able to tour the facility twice (5 years ago and a year ago), I was instantly amazed at how clean the place was! Not a spec of dirt or food on any of the floors!!! The kids all seemed content, happy, and engaged as I toured. One thing I noticed from my first visit to the next is that the same staff was there then as they are now. Some of which have been there for 10 years! That says something about the management and how they treat their employees. The Director is super fair with regards to both parent interaction and policies. Since COVID-19, the center has adapted very well with efficient pick up and drop offs by using a text system so we don't have to wait outside in the cold. I completely trust these ladies and the way they care for my baby girl! Also, no clothing items have ever been misplaced. read more

I worked there in October of 2017 the worst place to send your kids please ask a lot of questions before sending your kids they are a 1000 dollars a month to send your kid the owner only cares about making money she is so despert she will hire anyone. Lynn will not be in a classroom if you are short staffed the toddler 2 room has no lead teacher all the kids do is play Stacy can't even control the kids at time during circle time she dose the same stuff over and over she don't even go past A B C D once diaper and circle time is over that its time to go outside they only get 30 minutes to play they can't use the big play structure pick up sticks or wood chips. Then Lynn saw the kids climbing on the Little Tikes small plastic play structure with a slide inside the kids are too small they can't play on it they only have three things to play with Lynn started getting mad that the kids were running over to the gate to say hi to the mailman or the delivery truck driver because there is a street on the back side of the building all the staff are lazy they either like to gossip or they're on their cell phones during naptime no Toys R even being washed the staff is not encouraging the toddler kids to stop putting toys in their mouth there's supposed to be a dirty toy bucket that the staff is supposed to wash I got to be good friends with the cook in the kitchen and one day Lynn wanted me to start washing toys and asked me if I knew the three step process I said yes she told me I don't have to do that all I have to do is spray down the toys with a three-step process since she was losing money because kids were calling in sick half the time the older Tyler to class does not have enough to eat I am the one that had to bring food from my own house to make sure the kids had enough snack and the very last day that I was working there they did not have enough vegetables for that solder toddlers so Miss Rosie one of the staff in there had to take for green beans from each kids plate to make sure they had enough to eat Lynn only cares about if the staff eat she will go and buy junk for all the staff half the time food is expiring there is a big thing of oil underneath the kitchen cabinet that expired in 2014 the kitchen is a mess the staff are constantly helping themselves to the food in the refrigerator for the kids to prepare and eat their parent student Thanksgiving luncheon was a joke that all they got was crappy ham sandwiches with Jello with fruit half the time all the staff that are downstairs by the lunchroom you hear them all day just screaming at each kid in the baby rooms half the toys that are supposed to be run off of batteries don't even work when it is time to clean up from lunch and snack they are using the same rag over and over they don't wash floors the only thing they do is take trash out once a week they have a company come and clean the bathrooms when bathrooms are supposed to be cleaned daily when I was in the Tyler to class when it is time to clean up from lunch instead of getting all the kids to wash their hands she will just hand them a wedding paper towel to wipe their hands and I never see the changing tables really getting wiped down with a three-step process the cook had so much responsibilities of cooking the food and happened to bring stuff in from when they went to Costco or having to every time it is payday go into the back room and count all the stuff they have button like inventory she tried to tell everyone well the owner Lynn that she should not have to do the three step process of making the bleach bottles that she stopped doing it to get the opener to do it and not within a month the bleach bottles have not been changed they been using the same bottles over and over the owner is an older woman who's been open since 1965 she is ready to sell her daycare she just doesn't know when she is more for her money than she is Staff or caring for her children if you are looking for a daycare this is not a daycare I would recommend any child to go there you are practically putting your child in danger with sickness and non-educational for your child read more

My 14 month old son has been going to Gateway for a little over two months and I have nothing bad to say about this place! The staff is heavily involved with the kids, are excited to see the kids every day and are always sitting on the floor playing with them when I drop-off and pick-up. It is a very positive atmosphere, and I get a completely filled out report card everyday... which is very refreshing compared to our old place. The kids get outside everyday (unless of course the weather is forbids it), which is very important to me. My son has learned so much in the short time he's been there, and although the transition from his old daycare was tough, he absolutely loves Gateway now (he smiles and claps when I tell him we're going to school and waves goodbye to me when I drop him off). I questioned our decision to change daycares after the first couple weeks of very difficult drop-offs, but the staff was so caring and helped ease the transition for us (and honestly, it was probably way more difficult for me than it was for my son). I am so happy we made the switch to Gateway due to the development and care my son receives, not to mention the added bonus of diapers, wipes, lunch and snacks being included in the tuition.
