At first, I was a little nervous because the center was extremely new and there wasn't really a lot of feedback yet from other parents to ease my mind. Never mind the fact that this is my first child and I was terrified to put her in daycare because of all those horror stories you hear. First time mom syndrome to the full extent. Anyway, we were on a waiting list for a "high end" daycare center, but, I wanted to put her in a program relatively quickly and Tweetle Beetles seemed like a great place. The center was extremely clean and I liked the security measures they had in place. Not to mention, the app they use where I get constant updates about my child throughout the day is THE best thing since sliced bread. I had a pleasant experience with all the women I met there when I went to tour; Their demeanors and vibes were the kind that make you comfortable - the kind where you just breathe out an enormous sigh of relief because you know your kid's in good hands. It was the reassurance I needed to make the jump. And I'm so glad I did! My daughter thoroughly enjoys "going to school" now. No, the food they serve isn't organic, non-gmo, vegan, etc which is what I thought I wanted... But, then I realized that isn't what matters to me at all, especially whe she was still being fed healthy and reasonable snacks. What mattered is my child has fun, I know her teachers care about her and show her love, and it's nice to be somewhere so laid back and easygoing with awesome staff. I fell in love with this center so much that when the "high end" daycare called me to tell me that they had an opening, I politely declined. My daughter has been thriving since attending this center and I couldn't ask for anything more. Give Tweetle Beetles a chance if you're looking for quality childcare at extremely competitive rates. From one paranoid, over-the-top, helicopter mom to the next: You won't regret it.

She explained how they had cameras in every room and many other safety precautions they have. The other thing I loved was that they were very advanced with technology. The rooms are all equipped with tablets and parents get live updates on their children and what they did during the day. The staff was very professional and engaged with the children. My child isnt due until April, but I'm definitely putting him here.

After visiting numerous daycare providers, and considering home-based providers, it became clear that Katie's Kids would be our choice. Not for one second have we regretted this decision. First off, the staff. We love the teachers. They are kind, dedicated, and share a commitment to providing a loving atmosphere focused on fun, learning, and positive development. We were pleasantly surprised by the number of projects that our son completed and brought home. I think our only complaint is that we don't have enough room to display his projects...! Secondly, the location. It's centrally located in downtown Royal Oak and with meters not starting until 11am and the parking garage across the street providing two free hours of parking until five, paying for parking is a rarity (unless of course the weather is bad then I'll spot a dime to park in one of the spots located right in front of the building). Every so often they will host a parents night out where they will watch the children/students from 19:00 - 22:00/23:00ish... This is a great benefit! Being in downtown RO we can eat dinner, see a movie, or just relax downtown knowing our son is hanging out with his friends! Finally, the cost. It's no secret that daycare is expensive but of all the places we visited, Katie's Kids was the most reasonably priced. They did recently raise their prices but even with this bump it's still one of the best deals in town. Considering diapers are INCLUDED until the child is about 18 months old, it's unbeatable. Plus, they take credit cards, so we can slowly earn airline miles to use on a future vacation...! Great staff. A true dedication to a caring, safe, and fun learning environment. Excellent location. Incredibly reasonably priced. It's unbeatable.

We had a great experience with Ebony and Children at Play Event Childcare. We were in Detroit for…read morea wedding and needed child care for six rambunctious kids ranging from 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old. We were able to book CAPEC months in advance, which gave us the peace of mind to book the trip knowing that we had reliable child care in place for the night of the wedding. The reservation process was smooth and easy. I spoke to Ebony by phone and she explained her services and confirmed that she could accommodate the size of our group. Once we decided to book CAPEC, we received a link to fill out all the necessary information online (i.e. allergy information and emergency contacts for each child). We then received a written agreement laying out all the terms and information we needed to plan ahead. Given that we had a large group of six kids, Ebony brought a second staff member, Yolaunda. The two of them came very well prepared with plenty of toys and activities for the kids to play with. As soon as they arrived at the hotel they had the kids engaged with bubbles, balloons, and musical instruments. They also did a great job of comforting/distracting the kids so that the parents could slip out without causing a meltdown. Throughout the evening Ebony texted us updates and pictures of the kids playing and enjoying themselves, which was very reassuring and put our minds at ease so we could enjoy the wedding festivities. When we got back to the hotel at midnight all of the kids were fast asleep. The next morning the kids told us how much fun they had with Ebony and Yolaunda, which is really the best feedback you can get. Thank you Ebony, Yolaunda and Children At Play Event Childcare! We can't thank you enough.

While we totally loved this daycare, they workers changed too much with no introduction. Also, my…read morechild kept getting sick to the point they landed in the hospital. While I understand germs spread in shared learning environments, the communication to the parents was either significantly delayed or didn't happen at all. One of the workers even got sick as a result of the illness and wasn't paid for the time she was required to take off. Employers should be able to recover without facing financial distress. This place had the potential to be great, but staying silent when there's a big illness happening isn't ok and could have dangerous consequences.

When I called to see what happened had various stories on how he injured himself. However, no one called me to inform me of this. Took him out immediately. I also wasn't pleased with the dispositions of some of the staff. Accidents of course will happen but communication is key. Proceed with caution when bringing your little one there.
