My family and I moved into this apartment complex in September 2025, after living here for nearly…read more10 months, I can confidently say we will not be renewing our lease when it ends. The biggest issue has been an ongoing wildlife problem, particularly raccoons. To management's credit, some progress has been made in removing the animals after reports of aggressive behavior and incidents involving residents. However, management has consistently failed to clean up the feces, trash, and mess left behind. Residents and their pets are regularly forced to either walk through feces-stained breezeways and stairwells or clean up the mess themselves. This is a serious health and safety concern that has gone largely unaddressed. Despite multiple emails, phone calls, and portal messages beginning on May 28, management has failed to adequately resolve the issue. We have been verbally assured several times that cleanup would be handled, yet the problem persists. More concerning, management refuses to respond to these concerns in writing despite repeated documented requests, choosing instead to make verbal promises that have not been fulfilled. Another major frustration is the mandatory Valet Living trash service. Residents are required to pay for it, but the service frequently fails to run as scheduled or misses pickups without notice. There is no option to opt out, even when the service is not being provided as outlined in the lease. When we first moved in, management and maintenance were responsive. Over time, however, communication, accountability, and overall property management have noticeably declined. There has also been an increase in vehicle thefts, vandalism, wildlife issues, and disruptive neighbors. While not every issue is directly management's fault, their failure to address ongoing problems, maintain common areas, and communicate transparently has made living here increasingly frustrating.

I can quite literally here conversations that my neighbors have when I have the tv going. The front doors are also so ridiculously heavy, they slam and shake the whole apartment if you don't carefully shut them...which no ones does.

Original review based on the moving in process…read more Since property management has changed they have noted some pending improvements to the property. -Updated dog parks to include agility equipment. -refresh the gym equipment. -a walkthrough was completed recently to plan for unit upgrades which is a good sign. -new grills and potentially the fire pit to be updated Rent is easy to pay using the resident app, whereas on my previous review I had to go to Walmart and pay through them to this third party. Two stars for the gate situation but they had workers out there a couple times this month to resolve the issue. Rear gate has never worked with my fob. One of the two front gates rarely works. When you go in the office to resolve the issue they are always responsive when available. Sometimes they have stepped out (showing the property or something) They could update the instructions on the guest gate as they have worn off. I looked up the system and learned how to use it that way. All in all, issues get addressed relatively quickly. It's a clean place and loses marks only due to inconveniences like the gate, garage door intermittent operation, and the state of the gym equipment.

I specifically asked to be put in a quiet area if possible since I have lupus and loud noises tend to cause flare ups. The lady that was showing me around told me no problem. This apartment is quiet.. I think we have different ideas of quiet. The people upstairs are so loud. They have a dog that barks all the time. It's the exact opposite of we I asked for and was told I was being given. I've written complaints, since they have "quiet hours" that are ignored by the people above me, and I've complained since the 2nd day of living here and I even recorded the amount of noise and sent it with the emails, no response, and as I write this it sounds like they are bowling upstairs. The walls are paper thin. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. This is not luxury living at all. I'm sure the projects are quieter than this place. Nevermind that they don't repair anything, the exit signs on both sides of my stairwells are holding on by a wire. And I told them that 2 months ago, I was told they would fix it. It's still not fixed. Between the bugs, the fruit flies that come out of the sink from an infestation (that's what was said to me) it's just not giving... It's not worth the money at all. And when I called corporate, they didn't call me back they just forwarded the message back to the useless manager Kevin who clearly hates to have to get up and do anything job related. Then the lady from corporate stopped responding. Overall I would give this place a 1 rating out of 10. I'm sure you can find somewhere else, when my lease ends that's exactly what I will be doing. Oh and management don't bother with the reply saying I'm sorry you're having these issues blah blah blah... Because you should have already handled this stuff. Again I would not recommend moving here. Oh and the "gated community" is a lie. 1 side of the entrance you use your clicker thing that opens the gate, the other side the gate is still broken. Doesn't open or close allowing whoever to come in the apartment complex. Like I said, it's not worth the money or the aggravation.Ohhh and I forgot to add that the "cleaners" they use when the last people moved out is a joke. My bathroom was just gross. My bathtub was not clean, it actually had a dead bug in it. The kitchen shelves are not secure at all. And the compactor is always overflowing. So there's no way to even put you to trash out there. The management here refuses to remove residents who use marijuana on the property and even in their…read morerooms, in clear violation of the lease agreement, and the smell travels into other people's apartments. This is an almost daily problem. This smell is intrusive, pervasive, and overwhelming and keeps you from being able to enjoy the space you're paying to stay in. Many residents have complained to no avail, and some have left. Some have financial challenges and face difficulty finding another place to live. Some have families and little children who are exposed. Even repeated complaints to the leasing office have not resulted in the removal of these residents. The rooms are also ridden with pests that seem to find a way into your apartment no matter what you do. Amazingly, there are nails on the ground from work done around the property, and they pose a real danger. They are difficult to see unless you are looking for them or unless you step on one, which I actually did. Thankfully, I did not get infected but it would have been a very different situation if I had been. This property is not a good place to stay. I'd strongly encourage anyone looking for a place to stay to avoid Stevens Creek Commons.

In the three years I've lived at Woodcrest, I've seen pest control on site about twice. I'm sure they come more often but it isn't enough to feel their presence. I've dealt with pests pretty much on my own. Maintenance is very slow to take care of issues, and there are no emergency maintenance services. Management has changed about four times since I've lived here, which really says something. They've all been pretty bad. Maybe it'll get better, maybe not. But potential renters deserve to know. There's a lot of random parking lot activity (cookouts, kids playing, people hanging out... all in the parking lot). Some of this could be due to the area the apartment complex is in (hood) or it could be due to the caliber of people they're allowing in (also hood). It doesn't look or feel unsafe but it's really crass. Woodcrest was reasonably priced when I moved in but by year three my rent had gone up around $300 overall and this complex isn't worth that. They literally did nothing to my apartment or the community to warrant the rent increase. The amenities they advertise are often inaccessible because they're out of service. Every Sunday, the trash compactor is so full of garbage that it spills out into the road--right at the entryway of the complex. So you'll be greeted by a literal hot pile of garbage. Also the security gate never works. Overall I wouldn't recommend Woodcrest; there are better apartment communities in the city for around the same rental costs. Good luck, happy hunting!

I have lived at these apartments for 3 years. I have a very nice back porch view which is why I…read morehave stayed so long. If I didn't have that, there's not much other reason to live here. On the surface the complex seems nice but they don't put much care into anything; they put in pretty low effort for the money they are making (and I'm paying), at least in my opinion. Unless you get lucky and get something great out of it like I got with my porch, I'd reccomend living somewhere else. Here are some examples of their service quality and customer care: - Both poolside grills were out of service for about a year. When I asked about it, the property managers blamed a resident for messing them up and they told me that instead of fixing it for the rest of their residents, they were waiting for that one resident to pay to fix it. Thats pretty lame customer treatment to the rest of their customers, considering this is an ammenity that we all pay Woodcrest (owned by Intermark) to be able to use. - In their gym, the one multi-gym piece of equipment they have was out of service for nearly a year. Like the grill issue, this occurred before Covid existed. It is still damaged (cables worn and not on the right pulleys so it doesn't run right and can't be used, cable is also not screwed into the weights and torqued so it backs out). One of the 2 treadmills also is very loud and changes speed when your foot impacts. I'd say this is all somewhat dangerous. And again, the gym equipment is an ammenity you'll be paying for and not really getting. - The pool is locked one day a week for cleaning. Ever been in a pool with a floating chorine tab before? (sarcasm, its quite common and safe). I really doubt there's actually any real danger in using the pool after they've cleaned, just laziness by the property managers. You cant even sit in the pool area for that day because they lock the entrances. So, 1/7th of the time their pool area is closed and locked (this was true in 2019 at least, haven't been yet this year). This is a third ammenity that you pay for but only partially get to use. - The dishwashers they have installed dont clean dishes. There is no top rack sprayer. Your dishes will still have soap and foodstuff on them, even if you rinse first. You should plan to clean your dishes by hand, or at least remove all foodstuff entirely before putting in the dishwasher, which might still leave soap on everything. In my opinion that makes your dishwasher useless. Oh, and there's no check valve between the dishwasher and your sink (at least in mine), so your sink will back up into your dishwasher if your disposal plugs. - One of my shelves in the kitchen fell under light loading because it was installed into drywall only. Glad I didn't have anything I really liked on top of it. One of the shelves in my closet was held up on one side with zip-ties (as installed). - They have changed their payment system twice. They communicated it the first time, but not so much the second. When I found out, it was too late to call my bank to get everything straight and they ended up charging me $50 because I didn't fill out their new system quite right. They do accept credit cards, but you will pay a $30+ fee every month to use them. - One of the 2 gates on the pool is locked and chained because it needs work and they won't pay to fix it. It's been like that for maybe 6 months. - The walkway to my apartment floods every time it rains heavily. Gets up to 6" deep. I put in a ticket asking them to do something with the drain, no response. - The garbage compactor, which is installed at the main entrance, is overfull on average once per month and trash builds up in the street. - I had a car broken into in the parking lot. I wouldn't have a gripe about this to the property management, but the entrance gates are broken and stuck open as often as they are operational. Consider what you're really getting for what you're going to pay before you sign the lease. And remember, they're going to hike your rate after a year or two. If you choose to live here, don't take out your service issues on the staff, remember, it's their bosses making them do it! Happy apartment hunting! -Aaron

The rent is affordable, which is so important right now. It's a great size, located right on top of the pond. The view is terrific, and I don't see myself moving anytime soon. Emma is just as lovely. Consider this place if you want to be close to Grovetown, North Augusta, and Augusta University. I'm grateful for the staff and my home :)

Since me and my partner moved in we encountered a number of issues and when we moved out they made our move out experience hell/stressful; they found every little thing that they could to charge us with so they could put money into their pockets. They charged us over $3000 total and wanted it paid within 90 days from move out date. We asked for an extension due to the amount being large and it wasn't granted. We were willing to pay but they were just eager to send our stuff to collections to hurt our credit. They gave us back partial of our deposit. Deposit $1200 Received back $300 but they put it towards move out charges. The staff doesn't work with you, they take lunch breaks or come into the office when they want to, they don't have no empathy or respect for their renters, they are rude and they aren't helpful at all. The app they use to pay rent doesn't always work and they still will charge you a late fee of an additional $100. If you try to pay with a cashiers check, they would state that they can't take it but they actually can. They are very unprofessional. It's like they want you to fail, it's ridiculous. They don't answer the phones. I had to contact the manager Janay via email. 1.) The apartments are old and need to be remodeled; torn down and rebuilt 2.) When it rains, the carpets get soaked and wet to the point where you can't even walk on them due to the wall/carpet lining not being sealed properly. This created mildew and mold in the carpet. Also caused bugs to enter apartment from the cracks. We reported the issue to maintenance and to the office staff Keonda (Keondra); maintenance man came in with no supplies, looked at the issue, marked the ticket resolved and never came back to resolve it. During the move out process, they charged us $661 for carpet repairs alone due to the mildew smell, but total they charged us over $3000. We asked for the charges to be removed as we have proof (maintenance request, videos, photos etc.) that this issue was created due to the fault of the apartment and the manager Janay stated that we had to pay within 90 days or it will be sent to collections. The carpets also got soaked and wet also from the ac unit being backed up with water and they would have to come vacuum it out every time. 3.) There was a leak from the bedroom windows, from the bottom of the sink pipes, from the air vents, pipes, as well as in the bathroom on the top of the ceiling 4.) The appliances they give you are faulty and old. Our freezer went out on us during the first week we moved in and all of our groceries melted and got spoiled and the food we could save we had to pack and take to a relatives house until they gave us a new one. It took two maintenance request for them to resolve the issue. The dishwasher had mold water inside of it when we moved in and we never used it. We always hand wash our dishes. 5.) They sent out emails stating that they are going to do their annual maintenance inspections and they don't 6.) There are NO lights in the bedrooms. I repeat there are NO lights in the bedrooms. The light switches are present which indicate lights are supposed to be in there but they were missing/removed. You will have to use the light from the kitchen for your living room depending on which apartment layout you have and the lights from the hallway for the bedrooms. You will have to purchase lamps for the bedrooms. 7.) Pest control service used is horrible. Encountered water bug and roach problem and the exterminator made it worse. It's so many other things as well but this is just a few. Do Not Consider These Apartments As A Option At All!!!!! I should have took the warnings from the other comments. The apartments are nice and overall spacious, the grounds are well kept. The current incentive was hard to turn down. I did not take the apartment because I need a little more space ( I really need to part myself from many of my things). I also preferred to have a garage connected. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. You see the landscaping team out after heavy weather giving the area a manicure where ever needed. There are planned activities for the residents such as salsa night with food and salsa lessons, trivia night with pizza, and more. Food trucks on different evenings so you can skip cooking or driving to a restaurant a few nights a month. And there is a gym. The apartments are spacious beautiful,modern, with grand porches and balconies. The Management Team do their best to maintain a peaceful, comfortable, pleasant environment. Call and schedule a tour.
