This sweet, cute little old-time'y small-town country bowling alley is just that--it is quaint, it is simple, it is low-tech. There is no automatic scoring here; you have to dust off your bowling-scoring brain, and keep score on paper sheets yourself. Squaring up your bill in the end is simply bringing your score sheet up to the counter, and paying cash for however many games you clocked. Games were $2.50 per person, and shoes were $1 a piece, so for two games a piece and a couple hours of fun we were all in at $24. There are only about a dozen lanes here, so open bowling may fill up at other times, but not a bad deal these days if you can get in. The families enjoying the birthday party festivities seemed to be having a good time, too. If you're in the Punxsutawney area and have an itch to bowl, this cute, friendly place gets the job done.

The staff is wonderful and friendly. George recently bought the center and is doing a good job taking care of it. I will have to visit his Pro-Shop which is located in North Versailles, PA. For the age of the equipment, all lanes that I have bowled on in the past 3 weeks have been in very great condition. Lane oil is not too harsh and the lane surfaces are in good condition. I like the back wall aesthetic; the classic Brunswick center finish on the walls appeals to me. Food is wonderful and beer selections are nice. My top 3 beers are sold here with beer allowed at the tables. The tables are the spring retracted bowling tables that were common in the 1990s and remain common to this day. Overall, I enjoy bowling at King Lanes with friends while on business in Kittanning!

DO NOT TAKE A CARD ANYMORE. This isn't 1999 anymore. I get you don't want people walking out but find a better way.
