I booked a tandem skydive for Fri May 27th 2016, but due to weather we rescheduled for Monday May 30th. I had never done anything like this before and was both nervous and scared, but I wanted to do something special and wild for my birthday, so there I was, with no intention of chickening out. Arnel was my instructor and thanks to him, I managed to keep that intention. Everyone at Gateway was upbeat, positive, you could tell none of them were nervous. They had the air of experience and certainty, which helped cancel out my own fear. Arnel talked me down, kept me calm, reminded me that if I didn't want to jump, he had no problem with that. No pressure, even up in the plane with the door open. Like I said, I've never done anything like this before, but I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I felt the equipment was sure, I felt my instructor was a pro, and I paid attention to their simple instructions. You pay attention to what they say, and jump with both eyes open... you'll have a blast you won't ever forget. 100% recommended. :) Will totally go again sometime. read more

I cannot thank this crew enough for the awesome first time experience. I went from not even realizing that you could jump locally, to thinking I was just going to see people jump, to being offered and going in less than a 2 hour window, and it was a bit of a whirlwind for me. I don't think I ever actually said "thank you" and wanted to be sure you all heard it! I sincerely appreciate how welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable Clayton (my dive buddy) and the entire team were to work with. I didn't get an adrenaline dump until 10pm when I went to go to sleep - I don't think it really even hit me that I did it until then! Now that it's sunk in, I'll absolutely be back. I am 55 and this was my first jump. Nathan was my tandem "pilot". Oh my God this was an experience of a lifetime. You feel like you're flying. No falling sensation at all. A must for every living soul. These folks are the best. The Papa figure is a world class diver who is medaled in sky diving accuracy competition all over the globe. His son Arnell has twice the hours his famous papa does. A must. A must. Don't wait. You have to fly. And you will want to fly all the time. read more

This drop zone and skydiving company are top notch and operated by great people. For my first time jumping they were very friendly and personable. From training to jumping they have the whole thing streamlined into an easy process that gets you to the experience quickly. The views are great with Lake Carlyle on one side and on a clear day the St. Louis skyline on another. Can't wait to jump again. read more

I can not even begin to explain how great the crew and owner are here. They are all about making sure you are comfortable and that you have the time of your life!
