I was coming in here a few times a week buying a specialty drink. I am allergic to milk so i get oatmilk. This person who was making my drink sometimes almost made it with cow milk a few days ago. I reminded him and told him i would have gotten very sick . Then 2 days ago he did the same thing again, only i didn't notice until it was too late. I became very ill. He denied it and refused to make my drink, and even though all i did was state what happened in a matter of fact calm manner, he told me never to come back again, over his error which he didn't apologize for, didn't make right, and called me a liar even though i was violently ill and know what it means to be lactose intolerant as i have been my whole life. read more

Spent a few hours working here when we were camped out near Crater Lake. It was a Saturday morning; plenty of street parking around + plenty of seating available inside. They had a chai syrup for lattes, so I had a dirty chai that was good. The only downside if you're planning on working from a laptop is that there are very few outlets. We worked from one spot for a bit, then moved tables when a table with outlets opened up so it all ended up working out ok. read more

The El Toro Med/Dark Colombian roast was delicious and very potent. The food was great as well, and I would suggest trying the bagel sandwich! San Francisco has Blue Bottle Coffee Co, which offers pour-over coffee. Gathering Grounds is the only other place I've seen on the West Coast that does a good pour-over. The food is very good, and the menu is very Portland, but the portions are too small to justify the prices. This is the best place to get coffee in Klamath Falls, hands down. Very delicious coffee, the brews have a really good flavor profile that is complex and yummy. Even though I get coffee at the office for free, I often stop in for an espresso-drink treat or just to get a nice brew. I highly recommend trying a mocha too, the chocolate they use is expensive and rich. The breakfast options are also really good. I love the pesto egg English muffin sandwich. The bagels I'm pretty sure are just from Daily Bagel and they aren't always the freshest. If you're looking for a good bagel just go to Daily Bagel and cut out the middle man. One note I will say is that the little container for cream is not pleasant. It's so small and not insulated, it freaks me out every time I want to use it. I always wonder how long it's been sitting out. It would probably be better to just ask the customer if they want cream and then give them the container out of the fridge. The atmosphere is also top-notch. I love the theater chairs, they look nice and they are really comfy. It's really relaxing to sit and watch the world go by. The outdoor seating in the warmer months is also a great spot for that. And can we talk about the wall decor? I would hang all of that art in my own home, so stylish. I stopped here for coffee on my way to crater lake. I got a iced latte and English muffin sandwich. The iced latte was good, very good price considering they add 3 shots of espresso. The English breakfast sandwich tasted great, it is supposed to have prosciutto in it but I'm pretty sure it was just cooked thin sliced ham, although for $6 I'm not complaining! The patio area is beautiful, a very cute coffee shop. I wish I could go again today but they are closed on Sundays unfortunately. read more

Stopped in Klamath Falls during an 18 hour road trip. My friend and I love coffee so we decided to try this local business. We were not disappointed! One guy was working when we came. He was very friendly and seemed to have good relationships with the regulars. I ordered a vanilla latte and a drip coffee to try both. The milk was very well done on the latte, which is most important to me. The espresso was also tasty! All around I thoroughly enjoyed my latte. The drip coffee was nothing special in my opinion but good enough. I'd recommend trying the pour over instead and I wish I'd done that! In sum, I would visit here often if I was a local. The new owner, Jason, has taken what Brandon started and is continuing to improve upon it. He absolutely loves what he does, and you can tell as soon as you walk in. He takes feedback and is constantly experimenting with coffee roasts (which are fresh roasted right there!). The place and quality of everything keeps getting better and better. I just had a cold brew from there which blows away any cold brew I've ever had (including top notch places in Bend, Portland, and Seattle). Phenomenal. Their lattes are good, too, but don't be afraid to try out some of their other drinks, like a traditional macchiato. They're expanding their hours here soon (rumor has it). If you don't like something (anything at all), let them know; they listen. They want to serve the best quality espresso drinks possible, and they're well on their way. read more

This is by the far the best coffee in Klamath and I venture to say one of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. The owner has a wonderful mix of passion for coffee and community. His heart for people is easily visible, not just in the local community as his dedication to civic involvement shows, but around the world as his recent trip to Haiti and commitment to source the best coffee possible proves. The shop has a stripped down, rugged, comfortable feel, and it saves the glitz and glamour other shops have and focuses on coffee and people. There are many blends/roasts available and any shop that displays pour overs on their menu is definitely notches above others that give you a deer in the headlight look when you request a pour over. Good coffee. Ridiculous hours. The owner roasts beans on a regular basis and they are of high quality. Good enough to make "Bulletproof" style if that's what you're into. I've made standard drip, pour-over as well as French press. And they are really good. The decor is very nice. The rustic tables were also made by the owner himself. I just can't get over the fact that such an awesome place has such limited hours. Closed during lunch... closed if you're in the mood for some Espresso after/during your bike ride... Got here from NJ .. staying in Klamath Falls while visiting the Lava Beds Natl Monument. First priority was finding a good breakfast. This place was right around the corner from my Motel and is really charming. ll the food looked good. I ended up getting the egg, bacon and tomato jam croissant that was a big as a dinner plate and finished on the panini grill ($5). The bacon was plentiful and super crispy and the tomato jam was indescribable. Delicious buttery flaky croissant. Highly recommend the place. read more

I was traveling through Klamath Falls and found this place thanks to Yelp. I owned a coffee shop for a couple of years and am very picky with my coffee. This place nailed it! I had a shot of espresso which was perfect. Very few places do espresso right but Gathering Grounds does. Thick crema, sweet taste, it was perfect. I also got a pour over which was also great. I prefer the Aeropress method to pour over but this one was really good. The place was busy and the owner was by himself but he was still friendly and took his time with the customers yet still got all the drinks up quickly. If I lived here this would be my spot. read more
